"Really does suck being stuck here," Sylvia sighed as she tried to start a fire using some nearby wood-like substance. She sat back on one of the logs around the makeshift fire pit.
"We're technically not stuck," Leo replied, chucking Sylvia a new lighter with hopefully more fluid than the one they were using.
"Yeah, but we'd have to split up the eleven of us in two trips, and I am not risking going back through that atmosphere." She continued flicking the lighter, the moist wood still not catching alight. "Maybe this crap just isn't flammable," She sighed, throwing the wood and lighter down with a little too much aggression.
"Maybe it is but you're just not doing it right," Leo replied snarkily. Grabbing the wood and lighter. "See?" He said, placing the lit twig onto the stack of other twigs. "Boom, fire."
Sylvia watched with amusement as the fire slowly shrank before smothering completely. She laughed horrendously. "'Boom, fire.'" She mocked in a Leo-like voice.
"Shut up," Leo crossed his arms while Sylvia continued to laugh with great enthusiasm, throwing her head back as her dirty blonde hair cascaded behind her.
"You're just mad that you suck at starting fires." Sylvia laughed and shoved the back of his head, grabbing the charred stick. "I think you're right," She struggled to light the moist stick, evidently giving up once again. "These definitely aren't flammable."
"Yeah, but are you?" Leo replied with a smirk pulling at the corners of his lips. She raised one eyebrow, confused.
"Am I what?" Sylvia replied, tossing her hair over her shoulder.
"Flammable?" He asked, grinning proudly as he ran his fingers through his dark hair.
"Pfft-" Sylvia laughed, hunching over and wiping a fake tear from her eye. "No, why?"
He grinned and grabbed the lighter, throwing it up in the air and catching it repeatedly. "Because you're really ho-"
His sentence was cut off abruptly by someone barrelling through the woods barrier. "GUYS!" Sophia shouted, running toward the watch leaders while gasping for breath. "It's Willow-" She gasped, ammonia in the air not helping her case whatsoever. "She-" Sophia coughed and hunched over, grabbing onto Sylvia's shirt so as to not fall down.
Sylvia eased her to the ground and looked her in the eye. "Okay, calm down. Breathe with me, okay?" She exaggerated her breathing and eventually, Sophia calmed down enough to formulate a sentence.
"Willow ran off, and I don't know where she is! God, there could be other things on this planet and I don't know if she's okay!" Sophia's breathing began to rapidly increase as she struggled to formulate her fear. "She's my best friend and I can't lose her!"
"Hey, it's okay. We're gonna find her." Sylvia looked up at Leo who was looming over the two of them. "Leo, go find one of those heat-sensing radars, we only have a few hours before nightfall."
"Got it," He ran off to the remaining pod, heading off to search for the desired equipment.

Sophia squinted through the monocular scope, trying desperately to see anything in the dwindling light. "She couldn't have gone that far," Sophia huffed annoyedly and flung her arms down by her sides.
"She didn't," Said Sylvia, holding up the thermal radar, a small green dot blinking on the screen a couple of hundred feet away. "She's north a little deeper into the woods."
