"I-I," Willow stuttered, picking at a loose thread on her shirt. "I don't know-"

Eddie cut her off by loudly slamming his fist on the table. "How do you not know why you tried to KILL SOMEONE!?"

"Eddie, calm down. You said you let me and Leo do the talking." Sylvia said calmly, laying a hand on his shoulder as he ran his fingers through his fluffy hair, looking longer than usual. He seemed to do that a lot when he was nervous.

He sighed and stepped back, leaning haphazardly against the door frame. Leo tapped his fingers against the table as he looked at Willow's red-rimmed eyes.

"Willow please, there has to be some reason-"

"Tried," Willow said, glaring up at Eddie. The three looked at her, puzzled. "Tried to kill someone," She tucked a strand of knotted raven hair behind her ear. "She's alive." Her face showed one of great relief before her eyes flashed with anger.

"You lied to me," Willow spoke venomously in low tones, fiery eyes staring into Sylvia's. "You told me she was dead." She spat maliciously, finally tilting her head up toward them. "YOU LIED TO ME!" Willow suddenly screamed, jumping up and pounding her hands against the thick glass. "YOU LIED!"

Leo jumped back in surprise at the sudden attack, he typed some numbers into the screen on the glass, and it faded to solid white. Yet the three could still hear her vicious cries and the pounding on the now untransparent wall.

"Okay, that definitely did not go as planned," Leo panted, leaning against the slammed door of the room.

"She's a psychopath," Eddie said, glaring heavily at the room. "That's the only valid excuse for what she did."

"She's not a psycho!" Replied Leo defensively, being promptly shut down by Sylvia.

"Are you defending her!?" She spoke incredulously, raising her signature eyebrow as she stared daggers at the fellow watch leader.

"No-"

"Well, it sure sounds like you are!" Eddie stepped toward Leo, but Sylvia laid a hand on his shoulder, effectively stopping him. "There's no excuse for attempted murder." Eddie glowered.

Leo sighed and rubbed his temples. "What if it wasn't her." Sylvia scoffed and laughed humorlessly.

"Leo, you literally saw her trying to flee the scene, holding a syringe with lethal poison inside." Sylvia sighed. "It definitely looks like it was her."

He pointed at the door and lowered his voice. "What if she was told? What if someone made her do it."

Eddie rolled his eyes. "If someone was trying to get people to murder their friends, then I think we would know."

"Eddie's right. We would know if anyone was acting suspicious. Plus, there's nothing on the cams." Sylvia pulled up the hologram on her wristband. Scrolling through the cams on the ship, proving her point of no suspicion.

"But-"

"Leo, there's no excuse. If you'll excuse me I'm going to check on Sophia," Eddie ducked into the hallway and made his way to the medbay. Sylvia sighed and followed after him, leaving Leo alone with his thoughts.

Leo ran his fingers through his damp hair as he dried his freshly washed hair. He pulled a light grey T-shirt over his head, small specks of water dotting the back of the neckline. He glanced up at the foggy mirror, taking in his reflection. His hair was shaggier, and his eyes held a look of knowingness that no young should hold.

He sighed and rubbed a small white towel over his hair, a stark contrast of color. He made his way to the hall, which looked more foreign than ever. The white walls, floor, ceiling, and dim lights, couldn't be further from the comfort of home.

He ran his hand along the bland walls, bare feet making small pattering noises against the cold, sleek floor. The thought of home seemed so far away, the idea of going to school, having a family dinner, and watching TV, was all so foggy. The memories of past life on Earth were so distant as if all the kids ever knew was life stranded in the middle of nowhere. Having to rely on each other and themselves to make it home, if there even was one anymore.

Leo gently slid open the door to his shared room. Slinking into the room quietly, a sad attempt to not wake Sylvia. He closed it softly behind him and stood in the faint light from the planet below them. There were in fact other planets around the star, just not adequate for life, some too close that anything in the atmosphere would burn up within seconds. And others far enough that light didn't even graze their surfaces.

He gazed out of the window, not a single element of the world around him made him feel at home. The blue sun, the alien planet, down to the constellations were all different. He lightly grazed his fingers over the glass, longing for the feeling of security, the feeling of familiarity.

He jumped slightly when he felt a light touch on his shoulder, he tilted his head to the side and saw Sylvia, the light casting an ethereal shadow over her distinct features. He cleared his throat and spoke quietly. "How long have you been there?"

She directed her gaze past him and to the night sky. "Long enough," The two stood in comfortable silence before Sylvia continued. "I miss it too."

Leo contemplated for a moment, before pulling her into a soft side hug, shadows dancing on the walls. "We have each other," He whispered softly as he blinked down at her. "And the others,"

Sylvia cut her breath short, clutching her necklace in between her fingers. "We'll find our way home,"

"You don't know that," Leo said, watery eyes reflecting the stars above. "We're only kids, we-"

"Will find our way," Sylvia cut him off, standing rigid, swallowing her emotions. "We have to."

Sylvia deemed the conversation over and walked to her bed, snuggling under the warm blankets. Leo nodded and did the same, sighing as he faced the room. Light pouring in from the endless abyss around them. He huddled closely in on himself and wrapped his arms around his knees. Whispering two words he never thought he'd ever say.

"I'm scared."
