Chapter 22| Misunderstandings

Time had passed for Y/N and the others. Of course, there was a vacation in between the time after exams before heading into their third year of high school, so naturally, the students were off to spend time with their families.

As such, Y/N did spend time with his family and heading off to some areas for vacation, but his time was mostly spent working at the cake shop. Unlike him, Fuutarou and the Nakano family ended up going to the same hot spring resort by chance. The onsen resort was owned by the grandfather of the Nakano's while Fuutarou was able to win tickets through a raffle of sorts, so that's how he was able to attend and bring his family along. All in all, it was a wonderful time for them there, aside from the fact that Maruo Nakano, the father of the quintuplets, was monitoring his daughters like a hawk and making sure that Fuutarou wouldn't be interrupting his time with them. Though Maruo couldn't help but note about Itsuki's infatuation of this "L/N-kun."

Each and every time he'd ask his daughters about him, all he was told about was very positive things, surprisingly Nino even saying some positive things about him. Yotsuba spoke very positively about him as well, but that was probably because Maruo could note that she and him must have a very well established relationship of friendship, something he'd have to thank the boy for. However... He couldn't help but feel suspicious about Itsuki's dilemma regarding him.

Yes... Suspicious to him, indeed.

--: Chapter 22| Misunderstandings :--

Itsuki Nakano groaned as she exited her room of the apartment she had her siblings were sharing. Because of how things were, the five of them were essentially left to handle everything themselves, well, more so of Ichika paying the taxes by herself. This meaning that Itsuki and the others wanted to do everything they could to help their elder sister out.

So walking out of her room completely stressed about looking for a part time job was really getting to her. But that also wasn't the problem. It was also the fact that her father kept persisting about the fact about "Who is this, L/N-kun?" question he kept asking her. It was honestly getting really annoying to her, getting to the point that she might just snap at him for it. Though it would be a bit uncanny for her to do so, it was getting to the point she was getting irritated about it. 

But there's also another reason why she's this stressed...

'Why is this happening...?' Itsuki thought, despair all over her face. 'I know I always eat a lot, but how did it come to this point...? Is it because I haven't left the house? Then again... All I've been doing is nothing but sleep... Never imagined it'd cost me this much...'

Her despair only increased. Her weight had increased... Somehow.

'What am I going to do...?'

"Oh, Itsuki," Yotsuba piped up. She was the only one in the apartment at the moment, standing by the fridge as she props it open. "The yogurt in the fridge... Can I have it?"

"Ack...! N-No--" She pauses. "...Go ahead..."

Yotsuba hummed with a smile. As she reached for the yogurt in the fridge, she paused and let out an "oh!" Itsuki stopped and looked at her in confusion. Right now, Yotsuba was remembering a memory.

The other day, Y/N could be seen assisting a girl with auburn hair. She held onto his arm whilst they trudged on down the sidewalk, her ankle seemingly having a bruise as she struggled to walk.
