Desiree looks away from her friend and looks back at the mystery man as he was still looking at her. She could see a faint smirk on his face and decided to head back inside the house.

"You can't just say that and walk away. What do you mean that's him." Shonda said following along with her.

"It means what I mean, what else do you want me to say." She spun around saying to her friend before heading towards the backyard.

"What's happening?" Keisha descended from the kitchen wondering what the commotion is about.

"Her, Mr. Right is standing outside with Cleo and Latrell." Shonda said pointing towards the front door.

"What, who?" Keisha said confused.

"First of all he is not my Mr right, and secondly she is talking about the man I met at the grocery store.

"Oh. Wait he is here?!" Her eyes widened also showing a hint of excitement in her tone.

Desiree rolled her eyes exiting the hallway and going to the backyard. Melanie spotted her and made her way towards her. "Desicake, come dance with me." She tugged on her arm bringing her to the dance floor. Desiree laughed as she began dancing with her making them both giggle and laugh overall just enjoying themselves. Melanie let out a happy gasp as she took off leaving Desiree on the dance floor, she followed the girl with her eyes seeing who she was running towards.

She smiled seeing Melanie embracing her big brother in a tight hug. She loved their close relationship and how they acted towards each other. Caught up in the moment she wasn't paying attention when a voice came from her right side.

"I must say, you look absolutely beautiful but that's nothing new." She immediately looked towards the voice and saw it was the mystery man that she had absolutely no knowledge of.

"Thank you, you don't look too bad yourself either." She looked behind her seeing her friends mingling with others and saw Melanie hanging with her mother, father and brother.

"So how do you know the birthday girl." He asked. He was actually happy to see the woman who he had been thinking about. He also wanted to get to know her.

"I'm her cousins best friend and close friends with the family in general. What about you?"

"Her brothers also my best friend. We been boys since diaper years." He chuckled thinking of the memories him and Latrell had together.

"Oh that's nice." She said not knowing what else to say. There was an awkward silence between the two. one, Desiree was a very awkward person and didn't know how to meet new people and two, Breeze didn't want to come to intimidating or bother her to the point of no return.

He was about to break the silence until a voice caught both of their attention.

"Alright everyone it's time for my daughter to blow her birthday cake." A man's echoed through out after the music was stopped.

"After you." He said gesturing with his hand.

She nodded her at him in appreciation before they gathered around the crowd getting ready to sing happy birthday.

Veronica laughed seeing Mrs Vernon taking pictures of her daughter as she was posing like the princess she is.

"Ok on the count of three. One, two, three."

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR, MELANIE. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU."

Melanie blew the candles after making her wish as everyone cheered and took pictures of the birthday girl and the family.

The music resumed as everyone went back to dancing and celebrating.

Desiree went over to the food section. She had just remembered that she hadn't eaten a single thing since she arrived at the party. She was happy to see there was still food left. Last time they devoured the whole thing as soon as it was placed luckily, she wasn't the victim then.

"Damn seems like they really went all out." She heard the voice say behind her.
She turned around seeing the same man that she still had no knowledge of his name yet.

"I'm beginning to think you're following me." She said with a raised brow while holding her plate.

He chuckled shaking his head in defence. "Nah not even." He smirked "I'm trying to show you how interested I am. I also want to enjoy your company while I still can, because it seems to me you aren't going to give me your number any time soon from the looks of it."

Desiree laughed, knowing he was right she was not going to give him, her number any time soon.

"I would love to make you do that more often." He smiled showing his pearly white teeth.

"Make me do what?" She asked curiously eyeing the gorgeous man Infront of her.

"Make you laugh more, the way you smile and laugh is beautiful to see and hear and knowing that I can do that. My job is to make sure you don't ever stop."
He said very smoothly.

She couldn't lie, what he said was very attractive but she was not dumb enough to fall for his charms ..yet.
She still needed to know who he was and what he was all about she didn't want to interact with trouble.

He could tell what he said had an effect on her and was proud that he was doing good so far attracting the lady. He just hoped she didn't know who he was because for some reason she looked like the type of person to run for the hills and not the type who wanna spread her legs for him.

He then remembered that he still hasn't gotten her name yet. "W-." "DESICAKE COME, ITS TIME TO OPEN MY PRESENTS." They looked in Melanie's direction as she could see her waving at them.

"Welp, look like I'm gonna have to multitask with eating and helping her open the gifts. Nice meeting you again." She was going to address him by name but again she still didn't know it.

He watched as she walked off. She walked so confidently and like a model but her personality was so different it was really intriguing maybe it was because she didn't know him yet.

Desicake huh? He thought smirking at the name.
