Something switched in Noah that day, He became numb and evil. When he later on found out that Igloo was the rat, he tortured him endlessly until Igloo confessed he was the one riding with Cross in the car that day. Noah tortured him to the point that Igloo succumbed to the injuries and died. The reason  Igloo gave was the fact that he didn't think Noah was right for the role. He was jealous and angry especially when Breeze put him in the hospital that day. He wanted him to hurt

Noah found out Cross's hiding space and killed everyone in it including Cross, and he did it all by himself. But in the end it didn't bring her back.

He cried every day and night, he still couldn't believe  she was gone. It felt so surreal. All he had was there moments together.

"I think you should get the soft bread." He heard an angelic voice say behind him.

He turned around only to see a beauty in front of him she was tall probably about 5, 10 to his 6, 4 and had the most beautiful skin ever her features were exhilarating and she had such a beautiful smile.

"I must say, you look absolutely beautiful but that's nothing new." She immediately looked towards the voice and saw it was the mystery man that she had absolutely no knowledge of.

"Thank you, you don't look too bad yourself either." She looked behind her seeing her friends mingling with others and saw Melanie hanging with her mother, father and brother.

"That was amazing, no fantastic, brilliant even. Every compliment in the world was what it is." Desiree said as they were now walking back to her house.

Noah chuckled at her enthusiasm, she was spinning, jumping and just overall hyperactive.

"Promise me, I'll be the first to read your book when it gets published."

" I got you this, as a way of showing my support and knowing you can do and go far with your life. I'm excited to read all your books and celebrate you when you win awards and all types of things.

I wanna be your right hand woman and be someone you can lean on whenever you feel anything such as happiness and sadness."

When the funeral came he was frozen like a statue. He watched as they lowered the coffin that held the woman who was the key to his heart.

When Desiree's father heard his daughter was killed, he passed out. He was angry and drove all the way to Noah's house to beat him up. In the end when he saw Noah's face and saw the lachrymose in his face he broke down crying and hugged him.

When everyone left the burial Noah began to shake.
He couldn't handle seeing her being lowered "S-she can't go." He fell to his knees crying.
Latrell saw his friend in despair and ran back to him holding him as they both fell to the ground.
"No, she can't go." He wailed.
"She can't go." He Cried repeating the same sentence over. When she was finally placed down Noah cried harder into Latrells arms who was broken seeing his friend in pain and having to lay down the woman he practically called a sister.

The years flew by and Noah had no motivation for anything. Yes he did eventually leave Crenshaw and the gang life. He was now living in New York and made sure to cut all ties that reminded him of his past, including friends.

They weren't happy with his Decision but they knew he needed time to himself. As for the book writing, he stopped that a long time ago. He had no inspiration for anything or motivation.

He was currently working at a dead-end job as a school janitor. He didn't speak to anyone and no one spoke to him.

He arrived home and settled down before going on his phone. He went to his photos, today was her 3-year anniversary he had already cried in the car and just wanted to see her and hear her voice. He saw one video he hadnt seen in a while and decided to press play. Immediately his eyes watered and his ears were blessed when he heard her laughter.

"Noah." Desiree laughed.

"Nah don't act all shy now, do what you were doing." He said calling her on her fake act.

"You are so annoying." She pushed him quickly catching her towel and re-tying it since they were still in the bathroom.

"Yet you still love me. Do you still love me baby?" He teased.

"Yes I still love your annoying ass." She laughed giving him a quick kiss.

The video ended there and Noah swiped the tears that fell out. He swiped to the next picture where he saw Desiree smiling in the picture sitting on his lap as she held the phone to take a picture of the two. Noah saw the notepad he used to write on and that was enough to give him the determination he needed.

He went to his desk picked up his laptop and began to write. He could figure out the title and book cover later but right now he wanted to write. He wanted to write his emotions and his journey and create it into something special.

It took him three months to write the book, after editing it and re-writing certain parts he was finally finished. He printed it off and left the library as fast as possible.

The first thing he did was make his way to Crenshaw, he didn't care how long it took him. He just needed to get there.

Parking his car he walked in the cemetery and looked for her.

Taking a deep breathe he settled down the flowers he had gotten her and kissed her tombstone.

"Hey Desicake. I know I've been slacking when it comes to visitation and I'm sorry, but look I wanted to show you what I've been working on. I really hope you will love it and as promised your gonna be the first to read it." He settled down on the ground and began to read the book to her.

He cried and laughed and even cringed at certain moments in the book, but he loved it. He felt she was really there and it was just there normal moments of when it was just the two of them.

After he finished reading, he kissed her tombstone and told her how much he loved her before leaving.

Noah ended up finding an editor to publish his book. Lots of people turned him down but he wasn't going to give up. He made a promise to her and he was going to achieve it.

Near the end of the year when he was starting to lose hope. He came in contact with a publisher. They absolutely loved his book. Soon after that Noah's book was published and he became a very famous author. His friends and family heard the news and came over to congratulate him. They were happy that he had let them in and didn't shut them out when they came.

Everyone was starting to get happier and more accepting with the loss of Desiree. They were healing. Melanie was becoming joyous again, Cleo wasn't hiding anymore, Shonda wasn't drinking in her sorrow and Keisha started to speak again. When she had found out Igloo was involved in Desiree's death.

Guilt hit her like never before, she came clean to everyone and told them her part in it. When Noah first heard he jumped to attack her, Cleo called her all types of names and Shonda couldn't look at her. Latrell just shook his head in disappointment. She was exiled from the group and she never said a word after that.

Later when everyone calmed down and Noah had left. Shonda reconnected with her after some time and was able to convince everyone else to forgive, which is what they did and she was forever grateful.

Noah wrote more books and lived the rest of his life proud of himself. He never married or fell in love again. Desiree was the only one who had his heart. He always wore the chain she bought him around his neck, he never took it off. To him that was his own version of a wedding ring.
