Hyunjin woke up, his eyes snapping open as thunder clapped loud
He could only assume that Felix was either in panic or was on the verge of going into panic
He turned his flash on and shined on Felix, sighing as he saw the male closing his ears as he shut his eyes tight
"I'm ok, don't worry" Felix spoke, opening his one eye as he laughed
Hyunjin sighed and turned their lamp on, turning his flash off as he layed back down
He shifted the curtain a bit and peaked outside of the window. It was pouring heavy outside with bolts of lightning occasionally striving
Felix flinched once again as thunder clapped once again, this time more of a loud and quick clap
"Do you think you can fall asleep again?" Hyunjin asked, looking at the male across him
"No, I'm scared shitless right now so there's no way I'm sleeping" Felix laughed once again, removing his hands from his ears
Hyunjin crawled out of his bed and walked to Felix, climbing into his bed without a word
They both sat up and leaned against the wall, staring across the room in silence
"Isn't it crazy how fast emotions can change?" Hyunjin said, trying his best to distract Felix from the weather outside
"How so?" Felix asked, cocking the male an eyebrow
"Like someone can call you pretty and you'll be really happy and confident for one second and then a second later someone tells you that you look like a naked mole-rat and you'll be all sad and insecure" Hyunjin explained
Felix looked at Hyunjin with the most 'what the hell are you even talking about' look anyone has ever seen
"How tired are you?" Felix laughed, playfully slapping the male's shoulder
"No because I do have a point. Emotions can go up and down at any time and you cannot say I'm wrong because it's common sense" Hyunjin laughed
"I say emotions are simple and take some time to change. Like an opinion on someone, it can't just change over night"
"No, you're wrong"
"How are you going to tell me I'm wrong when I'm just stating facts?" Felix complained, looking at the male like he was the dumbest kid he's ever seen
"Because you are. Opinions on someone can also change in a flash and you know that I'm right, you just want to piss me off for some reason" Hyunjin said, illustrating alot with his hands
"I'm not trying to piss anyone off, you're just acting really stupid right now" Felix said, rolling his eyes at the male beside him
"Felix, I find you really attractive and I really want you to be my boyfriend" Hyunjin blurted out, taking Felix's hand in his
"What" Felix spat out
His heart was racing, his mind filling up with a bunch of thoughts and ideas of what to say but nothing came out
His eyes remained wide as his face turned bright red. To his advantage, it was fully dark so his flushed face wasn't visible
"You're disgusted, right?" Hyunjin laughed, pulling his hands away as he leaned back against the wall
"You went from being irritated to being disgusted by what I said. Your emotions switched really fast, therefore I proved my statement to be correct" Hyunjin continued
Felix felt somewhat sad and disappointed. But what did he expect? A kiss on the lips and a sudden relationship?
He himself was confused as to why he kept hoping for something to happen between the two of them
He knew that they would never work out, they'd stay bestfriends and nothing more
Besides, he likes Karina
But why did that irritate him? He knew for sure that he didn't like Hyunjin like that
How would he expect himself to love someone if he doesn't even love himself?
So really, what was this feeling if he kept denying the fact that it's him falling for his bestfriend?
He felt a hand grab onto his shoulder, shaking him as he snapped him back into reality
They sat there in silence as Felix blocked his ears, still fearing the loud thunder claps
Twenty or so minutes passed and the two were now layed down on the floor, looking at the ceiling as a blanket covered their legs
The rain had dialed down by now and then thunder and lightning was gone, leaving them with light rainfall and wind
"Hey...Hyunjin?" Felix whispered, turning his head to the side as he glanced at the male
Hyunjin turned his head and smiled at the male as he smiled back. "Yeah?"
"What do you think of me?" He asked, looking back at tbe ceiling
"Why do you ask?" Hyunjin asked, also looking back at the ceiling
"Just want to know your opinion on me" Felix replied
Hyunjin took a few seconds to think and smiled once he made his mind up
"Well, you're like...my peace. Whenever I'm around you, I feel like I have a purpose in life once again
You're one person I know I can go to and will automatically make me feel happy once again
You're one person I know I can be myself around and I know for sure that I won't get judged
You're one person I know I can be dumb around because I also know that you'll match my energy no matter what
Whenever we're around eachother it feels like I'm not only looking into a mirror but I'm listening to a copy of me
Everything about you amazes me. Everything about you makes me want to know more about you
I'm still terrified to lose you because then I just lose my whole purpose

There it was, the worst that for some reason always put Felix down when Hyunjin would say them
