Felix had been crying for longer than he had known, now snuggling in his bed in the comforts of him own dorm

Endless tears stained his pillow as his shaky hand reached out to grab his phone, unlocking it once he finally got a grip on it

He watched as tiny droplets of tears splattered on his screen before he wiped them away with his sweater paws

He bit his bottom lip harshly, biting back another loud sob, in fear of worrying the people in the dorms beside his

His trembling fingers worked as fast as they could as he sent another text to the male he wanted to hold so bad

'I care'

-

Hyunjin intangled his fingers in his hair as he pulled hard at the strands, letting out another gut-wrenching scream into his pillow

He felt his heart pain more than it had been for the past day

It was the day after he had that call with Chan, the call in which he spilled his heart-breaking secret. Nobody cared

He had just woken up after flying long hours, meeting his younger brother and getting so many calls from other relatives, expressing how sorry they were for his loss

He had had enough. He knew those relatives couldn't give a flying fuck about her loss

Reason being that they finally got away from her (not Yeji)

He knew one thing for certain, the one person who truly cared about him was about to be buried six feet under in a day or two

He heard a knock at the door, sighing as he pulled away from his hair and pillow, harshly wiping away the tears that freely rolled down his face

"Come in" He muttered, startling himself with how rusty and low his voice was due to the screaming and sobbing

The door creaked open as a tall young boy with black hair appear from the narrow space, bags under his eyes as they also seemed puffy from tears

"Get up, we're gonna go meet mom and dad" Ni-ki spoke, spearing the male one more glance before leaving the male's room

Hyunjin groaned, cursing under his breath as he sat up. He was no in the mood to speak to anyone, especially adults

But he had no choice. After all, they were all going through the same type of shit he was

...

Ni-ki and Hyunjin took in deep breaths as they stood infront of the french doors of a large mansion that belonged to their grandparents

The two were soon met with an underwhelming gush of wind as the doors swung open, revealing the butler and the inside of the mansion itself

Chandeliers lit up the place like a ball room as the paintings on the walls told stories of elegance

Stairs that reached to heaven itself stood tall, maids making their way down and up them

Hyunjin hadn't recalled being in this house frequently. He had been in there when he was a child but now he'd only visit once in a long while

Ni-ki, on the other hand, had never seen his adoptive grandparents in his life so you could say he was nervous

A maid approached the two with a humbled and soft smile, standing before them as she bowed

"The masters await you" She spoke, her voice soft and elegant, extending her hand to the door on the far right

The two timidly made their way to the room which was the tea room for the two old folk

Hyunjin opened the door, biting the inside of his cheek as he was met with just his parents

His mom seemed to be crying for a long time and the father was rather calm

"Good day father" Hyunjin greeted. "Good day mother" Ni-ki greeted

"Sit down you two" Mr Hwang spoke, sitting on the single couch that was set to the side of the wider couch Mrs Hwang sat on

The two sat down next to their mother, sending eachother one more glance before Mr Hwang cleared his throat

"I'm glad you were able to make it, Hyunjin. I hope there was no trouble in doing so"

Hyunjin let out a shaky breath, thinking back on the tears that freely ran down Felix's face when he had left

"Thank you, there was no trouble at all" He replied, biting his lower lip, suppressing tears that dared to roll down his cheeks

"It still boggles my mind as to why you had left in the first place. Left your friends behind, your family" Mr Hwang spoke with a tone of disappointment

"Iseul, stop it. He already feels guilty as it is. There is no point in bringing that up now" Mrs Hwang interrupted, sending a beam of hope to her eldest son

"My apologies father, but you already know the reason as to why I left" Hyunjin spoke, finally lifting his head and making eye contact with the male

"And what might that reason be?" Mr Hwang asked, cocking an eyebrow at the male as he took a sip of the whiskey in his glass

"Do not provoke him, Iseul. You are causing unnecessary arguements" Mrs Hwang spoke again, shutting her mouth once her husband sent her a threatening look

"You are aware that Yeji was killed, right?" Hyunjin spoke, a vein popping in his forehead as his eye twitched a bit

"Of course I am. What kind of father would I be if I hadn't have known?" Mr Hwang calmly replied, seeming as if he had no care in the world

"Then why are you so damn calm?!" Ni-ki snapped, feeling a lump form in his throat as his father glared at him

"Because there is nothing we can do about it now. All we can do is bury her and mourn a little" Hwang Iseul spoke, earning glares from his sons and wife

"There is something we can do! We- no, you can protect us all! But you're so damn stubborn! You don't want to get rid of that...that leech!"

And just as Hyunjin let those words slip through his slightly quivering lips, the woman mentioned walked in the room

The one woman Hyunjin absolutely despised

The woman who was the reason he had left in the first place

The devil that unfortunately was his aunt

"That's not a very nice way to greet your aunt after running away from her" the woman spoke, sparking a different sort of vulnerability inside of Hyunjin

"Why...why is she here?"
