Hyunjin dropped back down on his bed with a sigh he was holding in his chest for the longest time
He had just came back from family therapy, something Mrs Hwang recommended for them all, well except for Jihyun because we all know what happened to her
It bad been the busiest month or so for the Hwang family, specifically speaking about the young brothers
Ni-ki had been skipping school with logical reasons, attending family associated meeting type gatherings, and overall grieving Yeji's death
Hyunjin had to act as the oldest, had to consult each one of Yeji's closest friends and acquaintances, renovate her room and flat, and on top of all of that, deal with the family drama
But there was still more to go. There was still more time to be spent in Vegas, away from his one and only home
Referring to 'home', I'm not talking about Seoul. I'm talking about Felix
Just as his eyes shut, his body mildly relaxed and seconds away from falling into a deep slumber, he heard his phone ring out of control
He groaned, regretting not putting the device on silent to begin with, but upon seing the caller ID, he picked up nonetheless
"Hey there pookie" He said, hearing a sigh from the other end
"Hyunjin! Oh my fucking God! Only now you pick up?!"
"Ofcourse stink stink. I was dealing with my own demons"
"I'd like to ask for details but I don't know if you're comfortable with that, so I'm just gonna change the subject"
"No, it's alright. One of relatives kicked the bucket so I had to go back home for a bit"
"For a bit? It's been over a month dumbass"
"Can you blame me though?"
"Not at all. I understand— well not really, none of mine are dead yet, but I understand why you let for so long. But I miss you, you know that?"
"I miss you too Karina. But I'll be back soon. I made a promise to Felix that I'd be back in—"
"Four days. Yeah, I know. Minho told me"
"So the two of you are friends now?"
"Who? Minho and I? Or Felix and I?"
"Both"
"I mean...yeah. Felix and I are on good terms once again. And Minho and I hang out sometimes too"
"I'm glad my stupid mistakes brought the three of you together"
"You mean our stupid mistakes. God, I still can't believe I actually dated you"
"Likewise. I can't believe I was in love with you"
"But we both knew it meant nothing, right?"
"I mean at that point in time, it meant so much to the both of us. But now that we're separated and out of love with eachother, I guess it was all just pointless"
"Honestly. Glad we realised soon enough though"
"Yeah. So how's Felix?"
The shuffling that was once heard from the other side of the phone completely vanished, alongside the female's presence and voice
