Before I start this, just want to let you know that I wrote majority of this chapter while taking the fattest most life-threatening, and painful kak I've ever taken in my life <3

Chan watched the others talk drunkenly amongst themselves, their volume way lower as the night went by
However what really caught his eye and kept his mind occupied was the sight of the younger Aussie slumped on the couch with his hands stuffed in his pockets as he stared blankly up at the ceiling
He couldn't help but feel sorry for him. It must've all been so confusing for him, missing his lover while desperately trying to convince himself that he was in love with another
Just the sight made Chan want to break down in tears, the sudden change in attitude from the jolly little ball of sunshine to this looming grey cloud filled with nothing but misery
Just the sight alone was painful enough to make someone want to end it all
"Jesus Christ! Did Hyunjun decide to walk to a car dealership and get a new custom-made key?! What's taking him so long?!" Jisung loudly whined as he rolled on the wooden floor
"It's been like five thousand years since he walked out of that door" Jeongin added as he shifted to lay on top of the squirrel-like friend
"He's been gone for a few minutes. Stop overexaggerating"
"Over exaggerating my foot! I could've had grandchildren in the time he's been gone!" Jisung shot Changbin a glare who just scoffed and face-palmed at the man's words
The two's quarrels stopped as Minho huffed and stood up from the couch. "I'll go see if he's alright. Surely it shouldn't take this long to find a key" He said, already leading to the front door
"Maybe he didn't lose it! Maybe it's just been wedged up his ass this whole time! Isn't that right Felix?!" Jisung and Jeongin laughed, though it soon died out at the lack of response from the mentioned male
Felix's eyes never left the ceiling, nor did they blink as frequently as they were meant to. Almost like they were those of a doll: lifeless, the beauty of them just for decoration yet they held no emotion
"Felix?" Jisung hesitated, his voice laced with concern as he looked at the male with sympathy. But yet again, there was no response
"Just... give him some time and space. He's not feeling so well" Chan calmly explained, at which Jisung nodded and went back to talking about how global warming was for poor people with Jeongin
Minho stood and watched it all, the silence from the younger almost scaring him to the point of tears, though he had to keep it all together because that was just who he was
He took an almost shaky breath in before leading out of the room, immediately being hit with the cold night breeze, creating goosebumps all over his skin
Just something about tonight didn't feel all that good. Call it paranoia, or the fear of entering a new year, but he had this feeling that something tonight would change not only his life, but the whole group's lives for as long as they know eachother
He rapidly shook his head. "Dumb ass thoughts" he cursed under his breath
-
"Who are you?"
The two stared intensely at eachother, borderline bewildered at the sight of one another, the resemblance that was almost freakish looking, scaring the living daylights out of the both of them
