Ik its prob hermit empire but I'll just say hermitpire bc I like the name better :>

Anywayss I just made a desert duo hermitpire designs and I'm going to start explaining/ranting abt them 😋
They look a bit odd to me but that's prob becuz I was too lazy to shade it so I might make some fan art w these designs and make them look more decent

Also I just wanted to clarify that I'm not an expert at all in any type of mythology. I just really enjoy watching videos of people explaining myths and mythconceptions
(i love that word) but I decided to base my designs on mythology gods so some of these info that I will say might be wrong.

Grian:

So Grian's design is based on the Egyptian sun god Ra :D I thought I was a bit fitting since grian's name actually means sun! Also he has a birdman form so I just had to do it lol

My reference for this drawing was

I thought it would be a bit odd to have Grian  shirtless since in 3rd life he literally yelled at Scar to put on his shirt 24/7, so I gave him this crop top looking thing. Everything else is basically explanatory if you look at the design and the reference so I won't go too into detail. The ear-wings are the color of the mark thing around Ra's eyes. His eyes are also yellow just like Ra's. His hair is a bit longer than usual and I also added this little braid to show that his hair is longer. If he let's his hair down it will be at the beginning of where his elbow is.

(This is probably t.m.i but i took like 2 minutes trying to figure out if there was a word of elbow. My dumb self almost went to google to search up this lol)

Also I cut the drawing until his hips but I promise that he does have the bracelets, tail, leg bracelets, and literally everything that Ra has. (Yes including the nails and I will make the nails have nail polish on them when I draw his hands because I can <3)

Also the little evo symbol in his eyes just bc he's a watcher and I wouldn't be surprised if this whole rift portal thing was just his plan to add watchers to hermitcraft, well add watchers to empires but shush.

Scar:

I know its a bit odd but just listen for a second.

Scar is Sekhmet who is basically Ra's protector. Also Scar loves cats and Sekhmet is a tiger (?) So it all just ties together!
"But Sekhmet is a girl!" Said nobody ever but I'll still explain. I made this Scar transmasc, which is why he's still a guy in this pic. that's also why he has top surgery scars.

Sekhmet also represents the fire in Ra's eye. Bc I think Sekhmet was also created by Ra's eye? That's also why I put this little symbol on one of his eyes. It's the symbol of Ra's eye. I could've done that with Grian but it wasn't that visible, especially with the other mark around his eyes.

My reference

As you can see I made Scar have long hair basically for the same reason as why Grian's hair is a bit longer. Also I know that the thing that Sekhmet is wearing is like a long dress thing but I wanted to draw him w like abs (bc for some reason I make all my Scar designs have abs but sometimes I don't draw them bc they wouldn't be that visible) so I gave him a pair of pants that reach to the same level as Sekhmet's dress thingy.

His little hat thing is the snake on top of Sekhmet in the image. I seriously do not understand how people draw this man without a hat and feel like the drawing is complete /lh

Also I gave Scar red eyes just like Sekhmet bc when I was drawing this I forgot what Scar's eye color was and none of my references have Scar with his eyes open </3
