8. Rings

Here's the second chapter for today

Arjun's POV

I walk in the living room and quickly turn again as I see my brothers walking in with stuff. They are going to make me do all the work of going here and there and will just pass on orders to me and Rohan bhai

"Arjun" Virat bhaiya said and I stopped and turned around with an 'I got caught face'

"Where are you running away?" Akshit bhai asked and I made a face. Virat bhaiya and Rohan bhaiya might just have left me but he will definitely not leave me

"Nowhere I just remembered I had some work" I said feigning innocence and saw Akshit bhai raise his eyebrows

"You are on a holiday today" Akshit bhai said and I bit the insides of my cheek

"You are not running away from helping us" Rohan bhai said and I made a sulking face

"But it is my engagement only. I am the groom" I said reasoning which I for sure know won't be of any use

"You are not yet groom. You are just groom to be" Akshit bhaiya said and held my hand and dragged me outside

"Bhabhi" I shouted when I saw Shipra bhabhi on the way outside and she stopped to give me a look

"They are making me do work" I said and saw bhabhi shake her head with a small smile on her face

"Dewar ji, we all will leave you alone on your wedding day but not today. You have to help" she said and I pouted but nonetheless helped with the work. Though today I took the giving instructions part and made Akshit bhai work for me. He should also work for me sometimes

I sat in my room after the tiring morning and started looking through my stuff for my uniform for today. I have bought a blue overcoat and kurta for today. I bought this in Bangalore only because I arrived in Delhi only a day prior to my engagement.

I pick up my phone and smile at the picture of her that I took a long time ago. She looked really like an angel back then. I kiss her picture lightly before keeping phone in my pocket and getting dressed for the function.

I was completely ready after 20 minutes. I style my hair a bit and spray perfume on myself before picking up my watch and wearing it. I am really excited for today. Today we are going to have a symbol of our relationship always with us. I hear a knock on the door and open it.

"Beta, are you ready" mummy asked me and I nodded my head

"Good. Navika and her family are almost there" she said and I nodded my head before entering in the room once again to retrieve my phone

"Let's go" I said and followed mummy outside. We all got seated in cars and then left for the venue which was fairly close to our house than there's.

I get out of the car and see Navika's friend Abhinav walking with one of her cousins I guess whose name is Arnav towards us.
