38. Some Ritual

I turn around and look at Arjun as he again frowns looking at the his open cupboard trying to figure out something from the past half an hour. 

"Listen, what are you wearing" he asked in a very cute tone and I turned towards him with a smile 

"I am wearing this" I said pointing towards the saree I hung out before on the side of the dressing table and he nodded his head keeping all the clothes he had in his hand and took out a simple green kurta matching my saree and I smiled

"We are matching now" I said with a smile and he chuckled as he ruffled my hair

"I know that, baby" he said with a smile and walked out of the closet as I started to change into the saree. I wore my blouse and sighed as I realized it had a string at the back and I turned and looked at the door

"Arjun" I called and heard a knock on the door just the other second

"Please come in. I need help" I said and grabbed a dupatta to cover my exposed chest and stomach. The only thing which was now visible to him was my back. I heard the door open and turned to see him entering

"Ohh" he said as his eyes moved to my back and I bushed as I turned to look back at the cupboard in front of me

"Can you tie it for me please?" I said and he blinked and nodded his head as he walked ahead and looked at my back for a second before he moved his hand and removed my hair from my back and I shivered as I felt his fingers brush against my back

He held the strings of the blouse and I suck in a deep breath as his hands again brushed my back. He tied the strings in a swift manner and I blushed as he moved his finger on my bare back in a seductive way and I flinched 

"I love it when you shiver" he said in my ear and I jumped a bit and turned to look at him turning my face to the side and he pressed a kiss on the back of my shoulder and I sucked in a deep breath at the touch of his lips

"Arjun" I said in a whisper barely audible and he hummed as he kissed again on my back

"We will be late" I said and he held my waist pulling me closer towards him by holding my waist wrapping his arms around it and my back hit his chest and I gasped

"Then let's be late" he said in my ear and pressed a very seductive kiss behind my ear and I melted in his arms wrapping my hands around his

"Arjun" I said or more like moaned as he kissed me on my neck in a very wet kiss and I grabbed his hand tighter and I dig my nail in his arm

"Arjun and Navika. Please come fast" Shipra bhabhi's voice came and I pulled myself apart from him almost immediately and he groaned

"I am literally never gonna get a peaceful moment with you" he said as I pulled away and I smiled 

"Get out now. I need to change" I said pushing him out of the door feeling my cheeks burning with some other parts of my body

"Or I can just watch" he said turning and getting back inside and I gave him a look as he smiled in a goofy manner

"Leave" I said and he pouted as he looked at the door and then me

"I mean It won't be anything new. I have already seen you change" he said it in such a nonchalant way that I ended up hitting his chest and he chuckled as he turned but left the room

I opened the door as I wore my saree and turned to see Arjun still sitting on the couch in the room and saw him smile beautifully at me and I looked at him with a slightly tilted head

"You look so beautiful" he said and I smiled at the compliment and he came forward and kissed my cheek as we both walked down together and helped everyone with the work

I smile and rush towards them as soon as I see mummy and papa. I hug mummy as I reach them and she smiles as she hugs me properly and I move to hug papa now, who just pats my head lightly and I smile at the way of his hugs

"How are you, beta" mummy asked in a soft and sweet voice and I felt like crying

"I am good. How are you both?" I asked and dragged them to a corner to sit with them but papa eventually made eye contact with Papaji and ran to meet his friend like always

"Papaji is really the second woman in your marriage" I said joking with mummy and she chuckled as she held my hand in her and turned towards me with a serious expression and I looked at her in confusion

"Is Arjun treating you nicely?" she asked and I nodded my head

"Yes, he has been nice to me until now" I said and she smiled patting my hand

"You are coming back for holi, right?" she asked and I smiled as she said it all in a quick tone

"Yes, Arjun and I will be back one day before holi" I said and mummy frowned as she stared a me and I looked at her in confusion. What did I say wrong now? I thought as she looked at me with that frown

"You have to at least arrive a week before the holi" she said and this time I frowned 

"But it would way too hectic for both of us and Arjun can't take another work from home" I said shaking my head and she glared at me

"Arjun doesn't have to arrive a week before. Its only a ritual for the girls. They only have to arrive a week before" she said and I frowned even more. I don't really get this ritual at all

"But it would also be too hectic for me too to return in just a week and stay here for a week and then go back" I said and mummy looked at me like she wasn't liking anything I was saying 

"Then don't leave now. Just stay here. You can manage your work from Delhi too" she said and I opened my mouth to reply to her but closed it the next second

"I don't like this ritual at all and why is it only mandatory for the girls?" I said, a bit pissed off from this ritual and she looked at me with the angry eyes and I realized I was in trouble now

"I don't care if you want to celebrate holi with us or not. So either come a week before or don't come at all" she said in an angry tone and I huffed as she looked the other way

"Okay, fine. I will talk to Arjun and inform you about this?" I said and she looked at me and nodded her head

"It will be good. You can actually come and live with us for some time" she said and I nodded as she was not completely wrong about this 

"Okay, now tell me how are you?" I said and held her hand this time and she turned towards me with a slight smile

"I am good but I really missed you a lot" she said and I pouted and side hugged her

"I really missed you a lot too" I said and she smiled properly this time

"So, have you both thought about kids" she asked out of nowhere and I frowned at her question

"Mummy" I said blushing and cringing at the same time

"What? You both are of perfect age and you earn good and I am sure you can take proper care of your kids" she said and I shook my head as I stood up and left the place.
