I pout looking at white salwar suit I am forced to wear by my own mother for the Holi and look at the dressing table contemplating putting oil on my body or not.

"Stop pouting" I heard his voice as I turned to saw him entering the walk in closet and I pouted even more looking at him

"Or what" I asked as I at last picked up the oil and started pouring it on my hair and saw him come and stand just behind me in the mirror

"Or I will kiss you to stop your pout" he said in my ear and I blushed for a second as I turned my head to the side to glance at him and a smile appeared on my face

"You will anyways do that" I said and he smiled raising his eyebrows a little at me in the mirror and dipped his head to press a kiss on my neck

"I can do a lot other things too" he said in my ear and I pushed him away giggling like a little kid

"But not now. Now we have to leave" I said and he made a face but pressed a kiss on my cheeks as he walked in the washroom to change

"Are you ready?" he asked as he walked out of the washroom in a simple old t-shirt of his that he now wears at home

"See, you get to wear a washed up t-shirt but I have to wear this pretty salwar suit" I said in a very frustrated tone and he laughed as he focused his attention on me

"Then change it" he said as he walked to look at himself in the mirror and I shook my head at his advice

"I can't. Mummy will be so angry at me" I said and he shrugged looking at me as he fixed his hair

"Can't you get scolded instead of me. Just tell mummy, you really liked this suit or something" I said and he chuckled even louder this time and I pouted

"She will still scold you only. I am her son-in-law. She is not going to scold me" he said and I whined a little as I braided my hair for the Holi celebration. I can't leave them open they will end up all hard for weeks

"You look good in even this hairstyle" he said walking out of the closet and a smile lingered on my face. Honestly, I don't think the smile has left my face since yesterday

"Let's go" I said walking out of the closet. He was sitting on the bed using his phone and he smiled and forwarded his hand towards me as I took it and we both walked downstairs.

We all settle in the living room as mummy served us with the food. Its my first Holi after marriage so my parents are the one hosting it for us. I hug my cousins as soon as I see them all collected in the living area for the Holi.

"Let's move out" Akshit bhaiya said and we all nodded our heads as we walked in the backyard where mummy and papa have arranged all the stuff for Holi like colors, gulaal and water. I smile and pick up a packet of gulaal and head towards all the elders first to receive their blessings

"Happy Holi" I said as I applied color on the face of all the elders and they blessed me while applying it back on my face.

"Happy Holi Didi" one of my cousins, Kritika said as she came from behind and applied the color on my face and I laughed as I turned around to do the same.
