Izuku's POV

I go over to one of my walls and move my hand around until reaching a very slight indent. I push down on it and wait for a small compartment to come out right below the panel. I put a label on the phone in my hand and then drop it into the compartment with all the other ones. I press down on the panel again and wait for the compartment to close again. After it does, I leave my room. I check to see if Ochaco texted me back and see that she and Eri are still at the mall, but they're almost done with the shopping. I ask her how much she's spent so far and put away my phone.

I take the elevator down to the common rooms and spot a couple people sitting around the TV. I look to see what they're watching and see nothing important or interesting, so I make my way to the kitchen to make something for Ochaco and Eri when they get home. I know what both of them like, so I grab some stuff to make mochi and apple pie.

I make sure all of my ingredients are prepped and start making the mochi, making sure each bit is 100% correct. I like to bake, but it has to be precise and accurate. Especially when I care about who I'm making it for. I take my phone out, go to a police scanner I tapped into, and listen out for anything remotely important. I finish prepping the mochi and shaping each piece before starting on the apple pie. I look at the stuff I grabbed to make the pie crust and decide to grab a few more things. I want this to be the best thing Eri has ever tasted. Not that that's a high bar, but that doesn't mean I'll try any less.

I make the pie crust and start putting the filling in when I start to hear a few reports from the police scanner. Nothing alarming, just some robberies and things like that. I do a lattice top and go to put the pie in the oven, only for my heart to stop. On the scanner, they report a hostage situation going on at the mall. The one Ochaco and Eri are at. I drop the pie and run up the steps, hearing the glass dish shatter. I don't bother pushing the panel in, I just reach for the area the compartment is and rip it out of the wall.

I grab the phone and move the room to the front of the dorms. I see the path I need to take and rush to get there. I hear people yelling at me, asking where I'm going, but I pay no attention to them. I go into the elevator and make it go down to the room. It feels like it's taking years. When I reach the actual room, it feels like decades have passed. I grab my suit and a few weapons and rush out of the room, getting dressed in the elevator. I run out of the dorms and sprint to the mall. I hear people yelling at me to stop, asking where I'm going, but I just keep pushing.

I finally get to the mall after a few agonizing minutes. I sneak into a nearby alley and find a way to get to the roof. I open my pockets and see if anything can help me. I find two knives and try to climb the wall using them alone. I feel the first knife struggle to get through the brick, but either it's old or I'm just that angry, but it eventually gives and pushes through. The second one goes in easier, but I keep going, not caring how hard I need to push myself.

After a painstakingly long time, I make it to the top of the building I was climbing and see I'm still a few yards below the mall roof. I go back into my pockets and pull out a rope, tying the knives together and put together a makeshift grappling hook. I swing it a few times and then throw it to the roof. It clangs and I give a sharp tug. It doesn't budge. I pull myself up the rope to the top of the building, taking a look to see where the grapple landed.

Three feet in front of me is the grapple. Another 15 is a villain, gun in hand, looking the other way. 20 feet to his left is a woman with a gun across her back and spikes coming out of her arms. On the other side of the first villain is another guy with four arms, an assault rifle in two of them, a shotgun in one of them, and a handgun in the other. I quietly retrieve my grapple before formulating a plan to take them down.

I crawl over to the guy with four arms, then throw something close to him to make him look the other way. As he's walking away, I cut a few pieces of rope to hold him down. I didn't pack anything good, so I need to work with what I've got. I really should start thinking before I act. He walks over, picks up the pebble I threw, and then walks back. A few feet, and he'll be in perfect position.

He walks a little too close, and I immediately know my cover is blown. I stand up, kick two of his hands and knock the guns out of them, then throw down a smoke bomb before he can get a shot off. I pick up the two he dropped. One of the assault rifles and the shotgun. I throw them off the side of the building and then go to a different hiding spot. I turn on the air filter on my mask and throw a cannister of sleeping gas into the smoke. I hear two thuds, one large and one small. I assume that the third has an air filter quirk or on their mask.

Before I make an assumption as to which is still standing, I hear a woman yelling to come out and then a slash through metal. I go poking through my pockets and find out I only have my knives, the bits of rope, and an unlabeled syringe. I get out the rope, tie them into a small net, then prepare to throw it on the woman when she gets closer. "Come and get me!" I hear her footsteps get closer and closer, and when she's close enough, I throw the homemade net over her and hear her laugh.

"You think this'll stop me?"

"Nope! I just wanted to slow you down a little." I slide between her legs, slicing at her legs with my knives. She falls to her knees, and I drop kick her in the back of the head. She groans and then falls. I grab the net off her, then go searching for the other two villains. I get them, pile them on top of each other, and then look through their gear. I find a knife, a few magazines of ammo, a map of the mall, a pack of cigarettes, and a lighter. I take the knife, map, and lighter, then toss the cigarettes off the building. No wonder that big guy was so easy to take advantage of.

I am about to look for an entrance when I see a large window. I also kick one of the three guns. I pick up the other two. I toss the assault rifles off the roof, then pick up the small handgun. I turn it around in my hand before putting it in one of my pockets. I don't want to use it, but it might be necessary.

Alright. Time to go save my girls.

I'm not even going to start with a thanks. I am so incredibly sorry that I went of an unannounced hiatus for 5 months. I was really busy during that time. I just recently graduated, so I'm going to have a lot more time during the summer. I genuinely appreciate you guys for sticking with me for over a year, and others for finding this interesting even though I haven't updated it since January. I really am glad that I can continue to update this. Thank you all for the support. I'll try and update this throughout the summer. Have a good day and remember to drink some water.
