The air conditioner and fan were turned to their maximum level. You sat on the couch with your short sundress, fanning yourself with one of Santi's old magazines. Santiago was hanging out in the kitchen, slowly melting his face off. It was usually hot around 3:30 pm in the afternoon, it was when the sun was at its highest peak. The TV was on low volume, Santiago was already overstimulated with the heat, he didn't need the TV to get on his nerves too. You sighed as you attempted to distract yourself with a replayed film that the channel had on until Santiago placed the ice pack from his neck onto the kitchen island. "That's it, come on we're going to the beach. I'll call the boys to join us there and we'll have a bonfire or something." You preached up quickly. A beach day? It was rare for Santiago to want to visit the sea, but you couldn't help yourself. You jumped out of the couch and ran to the bedroom. You began packing a small backpack, placing in sunscreen, an extra pair of beach trunks, and of course your floral swimwear. Santiago leaned on the bedroom door frame as he said smiling "Someone's excited to go hunting for sea shells by the sea for Mary Anning?" You smirked as you packed two small beach towels "Of course I am! Hopefully, we can find a sea dollar this time." Santiago laughed at your comment, he always adored your sweet-spirited personality. You zipped up the backpack as you turned around and exclaimed "Okay, let's go, Garcia! The sea awaits!" Santiago shook his head and grabbed the keys from the nightstand. The two of you left the house, and you skipped happily to the car. Santiago placed his hand behind your car seat as he placed the car in reverse. You couldn't help but feel your legs become jello. You couldn't help but to admire the way his muscles protectively were flexing to keep you safe, and how his palm was securely on the steering wheel.  Santiago then said, "If you keep checking me out like that we won't make it to the beach on time." You smacked Santiago's knee and looked away with a burning red hue growing on your cheeks.

- At The Beach-

By the time the two of you got to the beach, it was 4:30 pm. The sun was slowly setting but it was still hot. The sand beneath you two felt warm, yet silk smooth. Santiago was walking carefully on the coastline, he didn't really enjoy jumping into the ocean and having sand stuck in his trunks. He looked peacefully content until you looked up at him. A small smile crept on your face, Santiago looked at you and shook his head. "No, Y/n." he could easily read your mind. You laughed as you said "Come on! It would be so much fun!" Santiago then said with his brows furrowed "No Y/n, you know I hate the salty water going up my nose." you squinted your eyes as you kept staring at him Santiago then said "I'm watching you, Y/n" You rolled your eyes, and kept holding onto his arm. The two of you continued to walk, enjoying the sea breeze and the delightful openness of the world. The waves looked perfectly painted with hues of blue, white, and dark green. But you kept slightly moving him close to where the ocean was teasing his feet. Santiago began to notice you trying to edge him closer to the water. Santiago turned towards you and held onto your hips. "What are you scheming at Y/n?" He asked, "Nothing." You giggled as you looked over his shoulder to see if the wave was high enough. Santiago's eyes widen "I fucking dare you. Y/n I swear to-" but it was too late. You quickly shoved Santiago into the high tide, but he brought you along with him. The waves pulled you both under, but Santiago carefully held you tightly against his chest. He pushed his body up with you, aiming to find the surface. He was a better swimmer than you. Upon getting to the surface, You pulled your hair back and Santiago was dramatically coughing. "Now isn't this refreshing!" You said happily as you splashed water at him, Santiago rolled his eyes "I hate you." He said softly, you sightly swam towards him and brushed the curls out of his face. "No, you don't, you love me to bits and pieces." You whispered, Santiago smiled and cupped your face. He brought your lips to him, and you wrapped your arms around his neck. His kiss tasted of sweet salted caramel, and you gladly indulge in it. As Santiago wrapped your legs around his waist, you knew he was quite excited to have you this close to him. Santiago left your lips as he began to kiss your neck, you allowed your head to fall back and heard Santi whisper into your ear "You know maybe a beach wasn't so bad." Santiago had a finger hooked on your bikini string when all of a sudden a  whistle was heard from quite a few feet away. The two of you turn around and saw Frankie with the rest. Will waved at you guys as he said "We're going to set up the bonfire you dorks! Hurry up, kids." Frankie laughed as he snapped a photo of you two, "AHH look at my babies playing in the sea!" You flipped him off jokingly as Santiago kissed your cheek. Frankie sent a kiss to both of you and went back to the Miller brothers. You turned to Santiago, as he said "Let's go?" You nodded your head, and Santiago carried you out of the waves.
