Tell drives through the empty streets instead of the highway. He usually takes the Highway but he extremely upset tonight that he decided to take the long way to cool off his senses.

Tonight, the small mission should have worked out. You should have left with the USB and Tell should have been able to kill off that guy.

But no, instead you helped to get that guy killed and Tell lost the USB as the two of you escaped.

In William Tell's defense, you just had to get sentimental. Plain and simple. You got sentimental about him nearly getting hurt and you didn't want to follow orders.

In your defense, Tell didn't have the guy cornered. The guy had the two of you cornered tonight in the storage building.

But Tell's giant pride won't admit to that, it won't even say thank you for not getting a bullet lodged in his skull.

Here you were sitting in the passenger seat as you wore your v-neck backless red dress. You were undoing your updo hairstyle as Tell sped up the car. You couldn't help but to sigh.

"You know, this passive aggressive attitude is fucking annoying Tell. Just say it, say how badly I fucked up tonight". You stated sternly as you looked at him but Tell ignored you.

He continued to press on the gas, which was his way of letting you know that he was upset.

You rolled your eyes as you rolled your window.

Tonight might have been an awful evening but you weren't going to allow Tell to ruin the drive to the hotel.

You laid your back against the seat, and admired the lights from the skyscrapers. You could have sworn that you warned yourself not to help Tell to investigate into his ominous past but for some reason you just couldn't say no.

-At The Hotel-

"Fucking great." Tell said as he opened the hotel room.

He didn't brother with checking in with the front desk receptionist to see if they had booked his stay properly. Just to his mighty luck or misfortune, there was only one bed.

Tell wanted to bang his head against the wall, and you gladly would help him. You couldn't help but to snort out

"Perfect, one bed. This give us enough fucking space to finally here what the hell is your problem"

Tell placed the bags down, and closed the door behind him. He turned to look at you as he finally removed his shades.

"When I give you an order or a plan, you are suppose to follow it Y/n! One of us could have ended hurt" Tell exclaimed as you crossed your arms.

"How do you know that your plan was even going to work? Oh I am sorry, it didn't! Because of me, you aren't dead! Why should I follow your plans?" You asked annoyed

"We don't know that for sure! How do you know my plan won't work if you don't give me the chance for it to follow through?!" He asked as his brown eyes never left yours but you didn't back down.

Not one bit.

"Are you shitting me! How can I trust you? Tell me how?" You asked highly frustrated.

How could you trust Tell when he always kept things to himself?

Tell looked at you and shook his head. He wanted to find a reason or way to rebuttal with you but he couldn't. You were right, and he couldn't hate you for it.

"I am sorry" Tell says under his breath as he ruffles up his grey hair. If you would have sneezed in that moment, you would have missed what he said.

"What?" You asked for clarification as you turned your head to face him.

Tell wasn't going to repeat himself, you must have heard him. God he hopped that you did.

"I'll sleep on the couch. We'll talk about it in the morning" Tell said softly as he attempted to walk towards the couch but you placed your hand gently on his wrist. Tell turned to look at your eyes as you said

"The bed is big enough for two. I promise I won't kill you in your sleep" You chuckled dryly

Tell laughed as well and reassured you that it was fine but you told him not to be immature about it.

Two adults can perfectly share a bed without anything happening.

"Fine, I guess we can start building our trust from there" Tell said as you agreed.

Perhaps this was one way to start.

The two of you slipped into the bed, right between the sheets.

You had your back against the mattress as Tell had his back facing you.

The bed was big enough for two adults, but was the bed big enough to keep each other's thoughts from pooling?

Yet, You didn't want to think too much about it. The reason why you got worried that Tell almost got hurt.

In the morning, you'd deal with it.

Maybe.

"Goodnight William." You whispered softly, you rarely used his first name. You only ever said it to say something important, and to you this was important.

William Tell didn't say anything back, you assumed that he didn't hear you.

You closed your eyes as you allowed sleep to comfort you and control the thoughts from your heart.

But goodness gracious he did hear you. He heard you clearly, and he could only hope that you didn't hear his heart skipping a soft beat for you.
