The rest of the week passed by faster than Taehyung would have wanted. Most of their days had been filled with movies, long walks around Daegu and failed attempts at cooking. The boyfriend thing wasn't mentioned throughout their last few days together. Taehyung didn't dare ask questions about it, and Jeongguk was too hard to read for him to know what he was thinking about.

So, he had been left with no other choice than to brush the whole thing off for the time being.

Though a part of him still hoped that perhaps, Jeongguk would bring it up again.

But he did not.

And so the week passed. Too quickly.

And now he was watching Jeongguk pack the last of his clothes in his suitcase, wondering when he'd get to see him again — and would it even be the same then? As fun as the week had been, he couldn't forget the reason why it had happened in the first place.

Han.

Jeongguk was in trouble. In danger even, perhaps. Probably. And Taehyung felt powerless, as though he was watching it all happen from the other side of a tinted window.

Trust me, Jeongguk had told him the other day. But how could he, when the cuts and bruises were still visible across his face? His mind was freaking out at the mere idea of letting the younger out of his sight. His heart was racing at the thought of him meeting up with Han again.

Was he really going to be Han's right hand man? Taehyung wanted to believe Jeongguk had a plan. He truly did, but as he watched the younger's shaky hands fumbling with the zipper of his suitcase, he couldn't help but think that Jeongguk was probably as lost and terrified as he was, although he had assured him that everything would be alright.

"Alright, I'm all done! I'd ask you to kiss me goodbye but I don't want to get scolded by Junghwa again." Jeongguk's playful voice snapped him out of his dreadful thoughts and he hurried to put a smile on his face so the man wouldn't ask any questions.

"Let me walk you to the train station. You might get lost without my amazing tour guide skills." He said, holding out a hand for Jeongguk to take. Eventually he did, rising up from his crouching position with a grin.

"Aren't you a gentleman?" He teased, weakly punching Taehyung's shoulder. "Gonna carry my suitcase too?" He added, pushing said suitcase towards the man, who merely scrunched his nose in response.

"In your dreams. You're the crazy muscle pig here, carry your own suitcase. It's good exercise."

Jeongguk slapped a hand over the right side of his chest, pretending to have been hurt by the older's words.

"You're the worst gentleman ever, Tae. You just shattered my fragile princess heart." Taehyung couldn't help but snort at the boy's intentional voice crack mid sentence.

"Your heart is on the other side of your chest, dumbass."

"Oh." Jeongguk quickly corrected his mistake, but that only made Taehyung laugh more.

"It's not on your nipple either, Gguk."

Jeongguk huffed, throwing his arms up in frustration.

"Where is that damn thing then?"

Taehyung chuckled at his dramatic reaction. Letting go of his keys, he took a small step forward and gently, he grabbed Jeongguk's wrist to bring his hand down. His eyes met the younger's and he smiled, positioning his palm slightly on the left side of his chest — where his heart should be —.

"There. Do you feel it?" He didn't realize how close they were until Jeongguk looked up at him, his big doe eyes sparkling like fairy dust. Warmth rose to his face, sprinkling pink all over his cheeks.
