You'll be ok" Matt said reassuring Zoey

The dancers auditioning for the Sulphur Springs Dance Studio Competitive Team were in the locker rooms, which was a noisy environment. Some were stretching, some were eating, and others were going over their combinations for the tryouts. Meanwhile, Zoey was panicking; she had wanted to dance but had not expected auditioning to be so stressful. The current competitive team surrounded her in an effort to help her calm down.

"But what if I mess up" Zoey mumbled

"You're not gonna mess up, Zoey," River said putting a hand on Zoey's knee

" You don't know that!" Zoey said, sounding annoyed.

"Here, let's ask that girl how it went," Matt said as she emerged from the try-out room.

Zoey nodded

"Hey, babe. I know you just got out of the tryout room," Matt said, pulling the girl toward his friends and Zoey.

Matt inquired with a smile, "How did your auditions go?"

"They were horrible, I did so bad, I'm starting to feel sick," The girl said to Zoey before she walked away

Matt had a wide-eyed expression.

"Ok...um...bad example," Harper said, Zoey, rolled her eyes

"Listen, we've all been through the audition process, and look out how we turned out," Harper said pointing to her and her team

"First of all, that was like 9 years ago"

"Second of all, you told me you had a "panic" attack, during your audition," Zoey said raising an eyebrow

Harper stayed silent

"That was a horrible example," Matt said to Harper

Harper mocked, "It was better than your 'lEt's gO AsK A GiRl hOw hEr aUdItIoNs wEnT-,"

"Whatever" Saylor interrupted 

"Besides" Saylor started "You'll be good as long as we don't hear-"

One of the try-out workers shouted, "ZOEY CAMPBELL!"

Zoey quickly stood up taking a second to check herself

Matt gave Zoey a hug and said, "You're going to do great, ZZ." She hugged him back before walking towards the try-out room. "Do it for me, Zoey!" Harper called out, blowing her an air kiss. Smiling, Zoey entered Studio B—the try-out room.

Matt asked, "So, how are you and your boyfriend, Harpie? We know about the kiss," demonstrating with hand motions while showing off his French-tip acrylic nails.

Harper just chuckled, as her team started to laugh and shout

Zoey walked into the room and was immediately greeted by a long table, at which three dance coaches were seated. Zoey did not know any of the coaches, likely because they were from another region; however, she quickly identified Coach Lotus.

Zoey was in a dancer's waiting stance, positioned in front of the table.

"Hi, Zoey" Coach Lotus spoke

"Hey," Zoey said 

"You know her?" One of the coaches asked

"Yeah, she's Harper's, One of my dancer's little sister," Coach Lotus said with a smile
