The Next Day

Lucas was certainly an odd individual, and it seemed that no one knew where he had emerged from. Mrs. Dunn's sudden romantic involvement with him perplexed everyone, including Griffin when he tried to talk to Lucas last night, but only received denial as a response. In order to protect Harper's wishes, Griffin decided to keep the incident under wraps for the time being. On this day, Griffin and Harper were alone in Harper's home. Griffin was lounging on the sofa with a smoothie in hand when his beloved quickly descended the stairs; causing him to chuckle amusedly

Harper rushed to the living room, and from behind, she chest rolled onto the couch. Griffin smiled.

"I'm gonna go take a shower" Harper sated

Griffin smirked

Harper giggled "Your not gonna be there"

Griffin rolled his eyes, playfully.

"I'll be here when you get out, Lovey" Griffin pointed to his cheek. Harper kissed it, before getting up from the couch and walking back upstairs.

Time had passed. Griffin was still sitting on the couch, enjoying the comfortable silence of Harper's shower water running, and mumbling from his phone. Griffin knew exactly where Harper was. She is safe...right?

That's when the doorbell rang. Griffin sighed, before standing up from the couch, leaving his cozy position. He walked over to the door. He opens it, only to reveal a grown man- oh, wait, no- It's Lucas.

Griffin raised an eyebrow

"Lucas. What are you doing-"

"Where's Harper?" Lucas interrupted

"Um, she's upstairs," Griffin said, confused

"Doing what?"

"Taking a shower" He answered

Lucas smiled a little "Taking a shower?"

Griffin nodded. Lucas was about to walk in when Griffin blocked him.

"What do you need?" Griffin asked

"Um... Jess wanted me to drop off Harper's dance bag, she left it at school" Lucas said, holding up her duffle bag

"Ok, but just go set it by her door, and leave" Griffin opened the door wider

"Whatever" Lucas scoffed, before dashing up the stairs

Lucas initially followed orders and placed the duffle bag by Harper's door. However, being Lucas, he decided to do even more. The sound of a waterfall-like shower guided him to Harper's bathroom where he quietly opened the door without making his presence known. Inside, steam had accumulated resulting in a sauna-like atmosphere while the smell of Harper's perfume lingered in the air. Unbeknownst to her, he remained undetected on the other side of the shower curtain

Lucas walked closer to the shower, smirking. He paused for a moment before taking hold of the curtain and drawing it back.

Griffin heard Harper scream.

Suddenly, Lucas rushed down the stairs, stopping him from running upstairs.

"LUCAS!" Griffin yelled, but he had already left.

Griffin disregarded it and raced up the stairs. He hastened to Harper's bathroom, where he found her seated in the shower, hunched into a ball with wet hair and knees drawn to her chest. The shower was still running.
