and i've been released from the chains that have held me down for years
it's a new beginning

and great things lie ahead
new paths to explore
new people to meet
new things to try
no more caring about mistakes
no more worrying about what others think
no more seeing 'him' and 'her'
thank goodness that today i'm finally free

and I can tell that great things lie ahead

Today was the last day of school and I'm so relieved. I get to leave behind my regrets and fears and embrace something new. For once, I feel excited for change.
