INT. GAU CAMPUS - GYM / NUTRITION STATION - MORNING

Spencer and Darnell finish up their morning workout. Darnell shoots Kia a TEXT: Hey, Kia baby. Still on for lunch?

SPENCER

--So, you sure Jordan is staying at Layla's tonight?

DARNELL

Yes, negro for the 100th time... And Asher will be with Jaymee.

Spencer smiles broadly and clasps his hands together.

SPENCER

Bet.

Darnell receives a TEXT from KIA: No can do, sweet thing. Stuck at the library. Gonna grab something on campus.

DARNELL

I guess we can hit up the cafe. Kia just canceled.

Darnell and Spencer walk toward the nutrition station.

SPENCER

Oh, so I'm yo side ho now?

DARNELL

You've always been my--

Spencer curses as he sees Alisha seated at a table. He hides behind Darnell.

DARNELL

Fool, just what is yo problem?

SPENCER

Alisha! What is she doing here?

(a beat)

You ain't seen me, bro. You ain't seen me... Meet you at the car.

Spencer runs off. Alisha stops Darnell as he walks by.

DARNELL

Spence ain't here... He left about an hour ago.

ALISHA

(smirks)

Funny. Because that sure looked like him rushing off.

DARNELL

(unmoved)

Ya know what they say... We all got a doppelgänger.

ALISHA

Right... I've been trying to reach him but no luck.

Darnell snort laughs and shrugs his shoulders. That usually happens when you've been blocked.

DARNELL

Sorry to hear that but I gotta see a man about a dog... Sooo.

Darnell starts to leave. Alisha places her hand on his arm.

ALISHA

Have him call me. It's urgent.

Darnell nods as he walks away. He won't.

EXT. UCLA CAMPUS - AFTERNOON

Kia sits at a table mid-lunch as she reads. Dante' walks up.

DANTE'

Miss Kia... We meet again.

KIA

(sizes Dante' up, smirks)
