--So, you just left the man sitting there in the studio...
OLIVIA
Layla...
LAYLA
What? I don't know. I just panicked. I couldn't find the words.
(a beat)
I don't think I'm ready to live with a-- a boy.
PATIENCE
(smirks)
Layla, you practically live together now... You have a key.
LAYLA
That's different... When I need space I can leave. But if we live together there's nowhere to flee.
OLIVIA
That part... Don't get me wrong. I love Spencer but every now and then some alone time is very necessary.
LAYLA
See, Liv gets it.
PATIENCE
(not convinced)
Yes, but are you sure this is really about having "me time" and not you trying to self-sabotage?
LAYLA
What do you mean?
SIMONE
(clears her throat)
