Chapter 58

Violet's pov

Today has been one of the best days I have had in ages, I know people normally hate school and some would do anything not to be here but because I haven't been without my brothers or someone else hovering over everything I do. but I don't have any of that, hell I could do anything I wanted and they would never know, it's almost kind of weird.

So far all I've done is gone to class and avoid a certain person who just somehow keeps popping up. I mean going to every class he is somehow there in the hallway, walking straight toward me. I've had to hide in the nearest rooms when I see that he doesn't stop, which isn't a good thing because I have ended in many classes that were halfway through so everyone just looks at me like I'm insane. I just quickly apologise to the teacher and then run out of the room after I see that Alex is nowhere to be seen.

I hope to god that he is just going to his classes and not looking for me, we haven't spoken in years but I could always feel him looking at me or when I was alone for a split second I could see him walking toward me, but by then I would have texted Matias and he was by my side in two seconds. Almost like he was right around the corner.

I don't get why Alex would want to talk to me, especially when he's been trying to for literally years and he hasn't gotten anywhere, I mean at the point give up. The only reason I can think of why Alex would be like this is if his father told him to get me back so it's easier when he kidnaps me and I will not be stupid and dumb a second time. I may not have been thinking clearly when I first met him but now I am.

Snapping me out of my thoughts is the teacher closing his textbook really loudly, getting everyone awake and looking straight at her.

"schools done for you lot, hope you had a good first day, now go home and don't interrupt the classes that are still going on" After he finishes that everyone is practically running out the door

I wait for a second, going slowly out toward the door. Making sure I would be the last person to leave, finally, when everyone is out and the door is closed I turn around and face the teacher.

"so how do you like teaching" I try not to smile a lot knowing that he would rather be doing anything else

"Oh shut up, I'm only here because miss little I'm a big girl gets herself a letter from a dude saying he wants to marry you or whatever" Niall says with a smile as well

"Technically he wants to kill all of my family and friends and then make me marry him and probably torture me" I shrug making out that I'm not still on edge all the time

We have limited the times that Niall, Louis and Zayn are around us in private and in public just so people don't find out but despite that I actually like them they can all joke around and have a good laugh even when there is something serious going on.

"yeah I don't really blame him you can get really annoying sometimes" Niall says in dead seriousness

"at least someone wants me" Shrugging I look down at my phone to see the time, I know that we are both just joking around so I'm not taking anything to heart

"speaking of which, I gotta go, Sarah and my darling driver will be waiting for me and if I'm not out there in a minute they are going to call Alessandro. See you tomorrow" I wave as I leave the room

Before I go that far I quickly text Sarah letting her know I am coming I was just talking to Niall. I really don't need everyone I know surrounding the school just because I wasn't outside right away.

Walking outside it's hard to miss Sarah and my 'driver' Everyone is staring at them and keeping a little distance. The car is one of my brothers that I'm assuming Alessandro told him to use. Sometimes I feel like this family is more than a little weird, I mean I know that rich people do some not normal things from another person's view but I swear my family has the icing on the cake.

Getting in the car i smile at the driver and Sarah.

"you know I never got your name, I'm Violet" I say trying to make this situation better

"Rhys" he explains shortly, I guess he's not a big talker

"I'm sorry you are being made to drive me, my family is just stupid protective of me" Sighing I look out the window thinking the conversation was finished

"it's okay, I like driving, especially racing. Plus I gotta get back in bosses good side somehow" when he said he liked racing I look over to Sarah to see if she was paying attention luckily she wasn't she was immersed in her phone probably texting

I just smile at Rhys and cut the conversation, hoping he gets what I'm trying to do, I really don't want Sarah to know about what my family does and then be put in serious danger, she is in enough with being my best friend and her cousin, Julian I don't want her in more.

Luckily with the way Rhys drives, it takes like five minutes to get to Sarah's house. I have to nudge her so she realises we are actually at her house but it doesn't take long for us to say goodbye and for Sarah to get inside her house. When we have driven a little bit Rhys decides to talk now

"she doesn't know about your family does she" he asks looking at me in the mirror

"no, she doesn't, her cousin works with us but we don't want to freak her out, plus love her as I might, my family doesn't completely think she won't tell someone she is dating or use it to get something. Which I don't think she would do but it is their secret" I explain with a little sigh at the end

"then tell her" Rhys says like it's the most simple thing in the world

I just shake my head not even bothering with a response seeing as we are driving through the gates of my house. I honestly can't wait to just lay down. I forgot how tiering school can be.

"I'll see you tomorrow" I tell Rhys as I get out of the car and head toward the front door

Walking into the house you can hear some of the boys in the kitchen, walking over there almost everyone is here as in cousins, brothers and friends, aunts, uncles and grandparents. They are all sitting around and eating and talking with one another. It's been forever since I've actually seen everyone together.

"Violet, how was school" aunt aurora asks smiling right at me

"It was good, I didn't feel like I had massive bodyguards everywhere I went" I explain looking around the room at all my cousins and brothers. The aunts and uncles laugh as well as Grandma

"They can't have been that bad" Aunt Alice says

"they wouldn't leave me alone if I went to the bathroom they were right outside, if I went to get food they would be right beside me. It got so bad that the teachers were setting a seat outside the classroom because they would see that they were outside the classrooms all the time no matter how much they said that they need to go to their classes" I deadpan

Uncle Gianni was going to say something but stopped when we all heard Grandma laughing looking at Grandpa, Grandpa looking slightly flushed. That sight alone was something we only saw on a blue moon.

"your grandfather did that to me when his rival mafia at the time said that he would take me. Every single one of his friends was following me as well as him all the time, they never left my side, they actually went into the bathroom saying that someone could come in from the window and take me there" Grandma had a bright smile on her face looking over at grandpa every couple of seconds

"And you were never taken" Grandpa says almost smugly

"I kissed his rival just because I was so fed up with him and his friends being everywhere" Instead of looking at Grandpa like she was going she looked straight at me

"yes and then I punched him and started a war with them" Grandpa chimes in

I don't say anything soi just laugh, sometimes I wonder what grandma and grandpa were like when they were my age but it sounds like they were exactly like us.

I'm sorry if this is bad, I almost didn't write/upload this because I've been in the hospital but I didn't want to leave you guys hanging.
