TWs: Death mention, grave, nightmare/crying, hospitals/painkillers mentioned, and Pat's not taking care of himself/dehydration mention. Stay safe :)

Pau peered at the grave in front of him, grief and guilt wracking his body as he wiped his hands on his uniform.

Snefrid Valen
'At one point, I wanted to give up, but now? Look at me, motherfuckers-
I'm on top of the world!'

Tears welled up in his eyes, quickly wiping them away. He wouldn't cry. He was the cold-hearted killer who shot her; he didn't deserve to mourn.

Until it became too much and the dam broke.

Pau fell to his knees, crying for the one who took him in as her own.

Why couldn't it have been him?

It was a beautiful day in Norway as Matt looked out the window of Tom's hospital room. The country had such pretty sights.

"You're telling me you're the monster that tried to kill me!?" Edd yelled.

"I wasn't aiming for you!" Tom crossed his arms, "You just got in the way."

Matt rolled his eyes as the two bickered about the whole 'monster attack and PowerEdd' thing. He was zoning out of the conversation when he felt his phone notification go off. He smiled once he realized it was his uncle.

Uncle: so
hypothetically
If I were to lose track of my assistant, where would I find him?

Matt read the text again, confused.

Matt: excuse me?

Uncle: I mean, he always loses me
So, I wouldn't be surprised if he was trying to find me right now

The ginger frowned, furrowing his eyebrows as he texted.

Matt: don't tell me you lost Larry
I thought you were better than this

Uncle: listen
the guy is an ant
you can't blame me

Matt: HE WEARS AN EYEPATCH AND A BLACK SUIT
HE CAN'T BE THAT HARD TO FIND

Uncle: Costume parties exist

Matt: So does a 'find your friend' app
Maybe you and Larry can install one next time :)

Uncle: I hate that you got your mother's sassiness...

Matt: I'm just saying, Uncle B
It would help you out

"Who are you texting, Matt?" Edd peered over his shoulder at his phone.

"Ah- no one!" Matt smiled awkwardly as he put his phone away.

"What, did you meet a Norwegian babe here?" Edd joked, making Matt laugh.

"No, actually," Matt glanced at Tom, who was fiddling with the sheets, "It was just my Uncle."

Tom seemed to relax when Matt said that, letting out a small sigh.

"Well, I'm gonna see if they have cola in their vending machines. Matt, want anything?" Edd looked at his friend.

"No, thank you," Matt spoke.

Edd left the room, leaving only Tom and Matt.

The ginger stared at Tom, analyzing every feature of him; his hair was tangled and messy, his eyes were so deep and calming that Matt wanted to stare into them forever, and the taller had to restrain himself from hugging the shorter every time he saw him.
