"This is a cool reference book," Edd spoke as he flipped through the pages, "Though it's not my kind of art style."

"It's a reference book for a reason, Edd." Tord smirked, earning him a smack on the head with the book, "Ow!"

"Oops, my hand slipped." Edd grinned as he placed the book back on the shelf. He noticed the pout on Tord's face, chuckling to himself, "Cute."

Tord didn't hear the last comment, mainly because he wasn't wearing his hearing aids. He glanced at the taller, "Did you want to get something?"

"Nah, I mainly just wanted to look around." He responded as he wandered to another display.

Tord nodded, following Edd around the shop like a lost puppy.

After a few minutes, Edd turned to him, "You know, you can look at other displays instead of what I'm looking at."

"I want to stay with you." Tord expressed without realizing it. Edd blushed, looking at the shorter wide-eyed, "Uh- I mean, I would rather stay with you- in case something happens."

'Faen, I'm sounding clingy...' The Norsk inwardly groaned.

Edd let out a small chuckle, "What's gonna happen in an art store?"

"Robbers," Tord replied.

"Robbers?"

"You never know." He shrugged.

The taller looked at him, rolling his eyes playfully, "And what are you going to do if that happens?"

"I'll protect you." Tord didn't hesitate when speaking. Edd looked at him in shock. Tord also didn't hesitate when he said, "Cause you're my princess."

"I'm your what? If anything, you're the princess." The brunet crossed his arms.

"What? How am I the princess?" Tord glared.

"Was it only me that remembers the time when you were shot, and I had to run you out of the building bridal style?"

Tord paused, then averted his gaze, "Ah, sounds like only you remember that..."

Edd deadpanned, "Uh-huh."

After seeing the new store, they decided to get food and hang out by the fountain. They sat on the bench next to the fountain, gazing around at the people that roamed.

"Edd?" Tord spoke up, glancing at the other.

"Yes?" Edd looked back at him.

"I know I told you about some of my family issues, but what about yours?" Tord peered into his juniper eyes.

"I thought I told you about my parents?" Edd tilted his head.

"You did, but you didn't specify what your father did to end up in prison."

"Oh."

"I mean- you talked about your mom a lot. You must've looked up to her."

"Yeah, I did..." Edd softly nodded, then sighed, "I couldn't have asked for a better mom- even if we didn't have much, she made it work."

Tord smiled a bit, frowning after, "You don't have to talk about your father if you don't want to."

Nodding again, Edd glanced at him, "I'll tell you later."
