Camila Lukasiak || Dance Moms

The Competiton Begins..

"this is going to be a different year, you both know that?" mommy asks as she pulls into the parking lot of our dance studio

"yeah, i'm excited!" Chloe beams

"we're going to be on TV!" i squeal

"isn't that something" mommy smiles

mommy parks the car and Chloe helps me get my dance stuff before we head in

"hi!" Chloe beams as she walks past Abby, our dance teacher

"hi, you look chipper this morning." Abby says to Chloe

"hi Miss Abby" i smile

we walk into the dancers den and everyone is beaming with excitement

"we're going to be dancing on TV! this is the most exciting thing ever!" Maddie jumps

"people are going to love us" Paige exclaims

we soon get called into Studio A for this thing called chalkboard

i hold Chloe's hand and i sit in between her and Paige

"alright girls, this is the first day of rehearsal for the new competition season..ladies you all know why you're here, you're the cream of the crop in your age group and i have lots of new ideas in store i am going to do something no other studio in the country does, Every single competition we are doing a new routine." Abby says

a new routine?!
us girls all look to our moms

"uh uh uh uh, girls don't look at your mothers i am the coach i am the teacher, i can make you or i can break you yes?" Abby says

we nod

Abby explains more stuff but i kinda zone out
Abby then turns around the chalkboard and reveals this
..pyramid thing?

i frown
i don't think the bottom is a good place to be

"everybody wants to be on top of course, but you have to work for it." Abby says

"everybody wants to be front and centre i hear it all the time, you know what whoever is in the front and centre they can't make a mistake, they are holding the group together."

i nod

"so on the top here i have Maddie because she is dedicated and because of her stellar record last year. Maddie are you ready to be front and centre can you handle that pressure?" Abby asks Maddie
i look over to Maddie and she nods

"our first competition is going to be phoenix Arizona, ladies i chose phoenix Arizona because i want you to experience the best competition teams in the country. We are going to do two new numbers, a high energy really cute adorable routine with Maddie, Chloe, Camila, Brooke, Paige and Nia."
i smile

"and then also a trio with Maddie, Chloe and Paige..unfortunately Mackenzie you're too young to compete at West Coast Dance Explosion but you're still going to go with us anyway." Abby says to Kenzie

i must just make the age range..phew

"girls we are going to win in phoenix and then the next competition we're going to win and the next competition we're going to win and that's all going gearing up for nationals."
