Chapter twentysix

Eventually it got late so the others went to bed whilst I decided to go out with Roscoe as I was still not sleepy yet and Lewis wanted to come too and I let him.

' so what do you think about my family ' Lewis asked me as we walked through a big park near his house in London.

' well honestly I love them they are so sweet and make me feel very welcomed and they feel like they are my second family you know? ' I said smiling at him.

' that makes me happy to hear I think they love you too I mean their behavior speaks for itself I think ' Lewis said as i couldn't help but laugh.

' yeah they are amazing people ' I said as I enjoyed the fresh breeze that flew through my hair.

For a moment we both just stood still in the park enjoying the quiet place and the fresh air. I loved London at night it could be so beautiful and quiet then not that I didn't love London at day as well but sometimes it could be so peaceful at night in London. Well depending on where you were if you were in the city city like deep then it wasn't that peaceful but if you were a little outside of London like I was right now it could be peaceful like around midnight when everyone was sleeping.

As we got back to Lewis house everyone was asleep so we just went to the kitchen and tired to be as quiet as we could as not to wake anyone up as it was midnight. But much to our best efforts we didn't succeed because we laughed so much and I sat on the counter whilst throwing flour on Lewis which made us both throw on each other and laugh lots so eventually his sister came in the kitchen newly awake.

' what are you two doing?? ' Samantha said as she rubbed her eyes still feeling newly awake.

' oh I'm so sorry did we wake you up ' I said as I was still laughing from before she came.

' kinda but now I see that you two only had fun so it's nothing I just wanted to check what you were doing ' Samantha said as she went towards us laughing.

' well we should maybe clean up here ' I said also laughing still.

' yeah maybe ' Lewis said him laughing as well.

Samantha helped us clean the kitchen then when it was almost clean I went to take a shower as they continued to clean the last little bit. They were chatting so happily when I left and I smiled as I knew they hadn't spoken for months so I knew this was important to Lewis to be able to spend some quality time with his sister.

The next morning I woke up feeling fully rested for once I hadn't felt fully rested for months so it felt good. This time there wasn't anyone to wake me up so I could wake up when I wanted and just take my time with my morning which I had really missed. Don't get me wrong I loved the travel all the time to catch up with the races and be at the races I loved that too but it was exhausting to be traveling so much and being so active during race weeks. I felt it was good to get to rest out from time to time as well and just have calm mornings which was also important. After getting up from the bed after laying there just watching my phone for about a good 20 minutes I went downstairs to eat some breakfast and I found Samantha there with her two kids which was Lewis niece and nephew.

' good morning! ' I said as I came down the stairs behind them.

' good morning sunshine how'd you sleep?? ' Samantha asked me as she poured some coffee up for me.

' well I must say I slept great and I got to rest out fully which I haven't had time to do in weeks so it was much needed! ' I added with a smile.

' well that's very good cause we're having a productive day today! ' she added to what I'd just said.

' really?? What is on the schedule today then ' I said as I laughed.

' well first we're going to a restaurant for lunch the whole family, then we're going to go and bath and after that we're going to a park to let the kids play some and then dinner and after that a charity event here in Lewis house! ' Sam said smiling at me.

' ohh okay that seems like a good day! ' I said as I sat down to eat some breakfast Sam had made for me and the whole family who had just woken up and came downstairs for breakfast.

As we all ate breakfast together whilst talking and laughing I got emotional as I couldn't help but thinking If this would've been my family's bonding whilst I was growing up if we weren't like we were. It made me happy that Lewis family let me be apart of this but I couldn't help but wishing that my family had this bond whilst I was growing up. Instead of the screaming and fighting I grew up with I wished that I'd grown up in a household like this where we'd had a good relationship and could've been happy as a family. Now I knew it was never gonna happen as that just wasn't my family but I could always wish anyway.

As we'd eaten breakfast I decided to check my phone as I hadn't checked it since this morning but even then I only checked Instagram and nothing else.

I saw that I had a message from Charles asking where I was, at first I just stared at the message as he'd never ever asked me where I'd been but then I came to my senses and just texted back ' I'm in London with Lewis and his family don't worry I'll come to next race but I will stay with them until then and go to the next race with Lewis, I'll see you at the race in two weeks ' and then I put my phone down on the table talking some more with Lewis family before we all made our way up to our rooms to get ready to head out in a while or so.

I focused on getting ready whilst I listened to music and danced around a bit when I was going to grab something.

For the first time in a really long time I was starting to feel happy again and I felt like I was finding myself and my happiness again that I
felt was put aside ever since I'd gotten married and it made me feel a lot better. Kind of like a weight on my shoulders had dropped and to be honest it felt good to know I could be happy just by being around others I didn't need to rely on one person for happiness. I could find happiness all around me so it didn't matter if I was mad at one person I had others to be with so I didn't need to think about all my problems.
