"Deep breath in."
I did as Zayn said, and took a deep breath in.
His eyes were locked on mine.
"Deep breath out."
After a few seconds, I let out a breath slowly.
I hadn't seen my family in about a week, not since my dad took me down to the basement and hurt me. I hadn't seen any of them since they found out about the video.
It didn't take much convincing from Zayn's part to get me to stay with him for another couple of days. Every night except last night, I had to go home but avoided seeing anyone. I had stayed with him for just a few days over a week, staying in his home with the safety of his company. Without having to be scared or having to worry about my own family.
Zayn was in a tailored black Gucci suit, one that fit every part of his body so perfectly, his hair back in a bun on his head.
My breath had caught in my throat when I first saw him wearing the suit earlier tonight, it amazed me just how fucking perfect he was without having to try at all. The suit jacket was crafted from the most expensive fabric, it hugged his broad shoulders and the sleek shape flowed seamlessly down his torso, highlighting his silhouette. Beneath the jacket he had a white collared shirt, perfectly combined with a knotted black silk tie, I couldn't help but pretend to run my eyes down the tie when I'm reality I was just gazing down at his body.
I contrasted by wearing white. A white silk dress that reached to my ankles, a slit running up the side to my hip to expose my ankle and my thigh. It fit me well, it had been made for my body and had a corset back, cinching me in to enhance a feminine figure. I had felt pretty in it when I first put it on, I hadn't felt pretty in a long time and it was nice to do my hair and my makeup. My hair was loosely curled but I hadn't pinned it up, I left it down as a little security blanket for myself.
"Good." He gave me a gentle smile, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. "Good. You're okay." His thumb ran along my bottom lip, "And you're gonna be okay."
I nodded, closing my eyes so I could focus more on the feeling of his hands on my skin, "I'm okay."
"And I'm here." He said, his opposite hand smoothed up and down my arm, "And I'll be here with you the entire time."
"And you're here." I repeated, just reminding myself over again in my head that it would all be okay.
"And you're safe." It was another gentle reminder, but one I needed. "Because I've got you."
My eyes opened and landed on him in front of me. "You've got me."
He smiled again, nodding. "Always."
And then he leaned forward to press his lips against mine. I smiled when our lips met, knowing I would leave lipstick behind on his mouth since I had only applied it a minute or so again. He leaned across the centre of the car to kiss me deeper. When he pulled back, we were both smiling, I felt my cheeks blush. I cupped his face, running my thumb over his lips and his chin where I had left red marks behind.
He stole another kiss on the palm of my hand. "Ready?"
"Sure." I breathed. I had no choice but to be ready. "Yeah."
We both got out of the car, we were parked a little further away from everyone else, just because it made me feel safer, and I was going to need reassurance in the car before we went inside, and he always reassured me with his touch. We couldn't risk anyone seeing us like they could if we had parked closer.
