2005:

As the bell rang, dismissing the entire school for the weekend, I rushed out of the building, so I could get to Mikey's house faster.

He hasn't been attending school too much recently, so I'm doing what I can to catch him up, so he doesn't have to repeat the year. Even if we are the same age, it will be kinda weird, being a high schooler who's dating a middle schooler.

After walking up to the door of his house, I knocked, leading a blonde girl to open the door.

"Hello?"

I waved and smiled at her. "Hey, Emma."

Finally realizing that it was me, the blonde's eyes lit up, as she almost tackled me in a hug. "(Y/n)! You're back!"

I quietly giggled at her reaction, hugging her back, before a small sense of guilt crept into my mind. "I really wish we could hang out, but I have to catch Mikey up on his schoolwork." I let out a sigh, as I held up a thick folder, which was stuffed with papers. "I won't lie, I don't have much hope for him, but at least I can say I tried.

Emma let out a snicker, as she covered her mouth. "Good luck with him. You really have a charity case there. He's in his room by the way."

"Thanks." I waved her off, as I walked back down the stairs. "Tomorow, we should go get ice cream. My treat!"

"Can't say no to that."

I smiled, as I walked over to the side of the house, where the shed was.

About a year ago, Mikey moved into the shed, where Shinichiro used to live, turning it into his own room. Of course, he wanted his own space, since it was bigger than his old room, plus it meant that Emma would bother him less, since he wasn't in the house.

Once I knocked on the door, I could hear footsteps shuffling closer to me, before the door opened, revealing a sleepy looking Mikey.

The blonde let out a groan as he rubbed his eyes. "You just woke me up." As the boy lowered his hands from his face, and opened his eyes, he let out a small gasp. "(Y/n)?"

"Who else would I be?" I chuckled.

"Sorry, I thought you were Emma," he smiled. "What brings you here? Miss me too much?

"You asked me to come here," I sweat dropped. Walking past my boyfriend, I took a seat on his couch and dropped the loaded folder on the coffee table. "Remember last week when Mr. Nakamura told you that you were failing all of your classes, and if you don't start turning in your work, then you're not gonna graduate?"

"He said that?"

I felt my eye twitch, as I clenched my fist. "Mikey..."

"Don't worry, I'm just pulling your leg." He placed a kiss on my cheek, as he sat down beside me. "I have to retake all of my exams, because I skipped all of exam week!"

"You shouldn't be proud of that," I sighed. "Oh well. Let's just get this over with."

"It's just one folder," the blonde grinned. "That's not too bad."

Taking my shoulder bag off of my arm, I set it on the table, opening it and showing my boyfriend the four loaded folders.

"The one on the table is just math, Sweetheart."

"...Can I just drop out now?"

I rolled my eyes, as I pulled the first piece of paper out, immediately gazing over the numbers and letters. Oh no... we're starting out with algebra. Teaching him might be harder for me than it is for him.
