Episode 22: One for All

-Flashback (2003)-

For no particular reason, Mikey had called the seven of us to meet up at the shrine.

Baji smirked, as he stopped at the red light. "It's the coolest bike in Tokyo!"

"It's the coolest in Tokyo, huh?" Draken mocked. "Well, my Zephyr is the best in all of Japan!"

"Ain't no way either of your buckets of bolts are better than my Yamaha," Katsumi snickered.

"I second her claim," I giggled, as I rode on the back of her bike.

"Hey, now!" Mitsuya smiled. "You wanna talk shit like that? Don't do it in front of me. My Impulse here is the best bike in the world, my friend. You're all thinking too small!"

Kazutora laughed, as he revved his engine. "What'd you guys even got worth fighting when you're all stuck here on planet earth! My Rocket's the best bike in the universe!"

As the boys continued to argue, Mikey bobbed his head, as he sat on the back of Baji's bike. "I'm getting really sleepy."

Pah flew right past us, just as the light turned green. "My CBX400F is the best of all! It's a race to the shrine!"

"Damn you!" Baji yelled, as he sped up. "That's not a fair race!"

"You spineless cheater!" Katsumi retorted.

"We're gonna beat your ass there anyway!" I giggled.

"Last one there is gonna get their ass kicked!" Kazutora joked.

"Hey! What the hell are you doing, falling asleep?!" Looking over to the bike beside me, I watched as Baji yelled at Mikey, while he softly snored. "Wake up! You're going to fall off, you dumbass! Mikey, wake up!"

Thankfully, Mikey was still on the back of our friend's bike when we arrived at the shrine. It was very funny to see Baji carry my boyfriend up the steps, as punishment for showing up last.

The black-haired boy rolled his eyes. "Thanks a lot for the help."

Kazutora glanced over at the two. "Took you long enough!"

"Guess we know who's getting beat up!" Katsumi laughed, as she nudged the boy's ribcage.

"Well, it's not my fault he was dead asleep on my back the whole time!"

"Excuses, excuses," I giggled.

"Yeah, pretty lame, dude," Mitsuya snickered.

"Yeah! Easy for you two to say!"

The blonde finally woke up, picking his head up as he looked around. "Are we here?"

Draken stepped forward. "So, what'd you want to talk to us about, Mikey?"

As we made our way to the front of the shrine, we all gathered around in a circle, before my boyfriend began to explain the reasoning behind this meeting. "There's a gang called Black Dragon. Heard of them?"

"Yeah, I've heard of them," Mitsuya nodded. "I also heard that they're brutal as hell; three years older than us."

An uneasy look made its way onto the lion tattooed boy's face, as Mikey looked at him. "Why didn't you come and talk to us, Kazutora? Instead, I had to hear it from Baji. You've been fighting the Black Dragons all on your own."
