2005:
As I idly strolled down the street, following my productive trip to the convenience store, I bumped into Hinata.
"Oh, hey!" I waved. "Crazy seeing you here."
"Wow, what a coincidence!" The girl giggled. "What brings you out here today?"
"I remembered that I have free will, so I ran out to buy some snacks. What about you?"
The pink-haired girl let out a sigh. "Cram school."
"In the summer?" I cringed. "Your parents aren't even letting you enjoy the break from school?!"
"Tell me about it," Hinata huffed.
She then began to rant to me about how Takemichi was acting stranger than usual, before we saw the man himself, screaming and panting as he ran from something.
Not noticing us as we approached, the blonde muttered to himself. "I've gotta make sure Hina never finds out about that-"
"About what?"
"Someone's acting pretty shady," I scowled.
Takemichi's soul left his body, once he realized that we were standing behind him. "What in the world are you two doing here?!"
Oh, he is definitely up to something.
"I'm on my way home from cram school and (Y/n) was doing some shopping," Hinata boldly answered. "What are you doing here, Takemichi?"
"Uh- I just was... uh-" As the blonde stuttered, Hinata stepped just in front of him, leaning her face centimeters from his, as she furrowed her brows. "Uh- what's wrong? Is there something on my face?"
"You're sweating bullets; there's no way you haven't done something wrong." I huffed, as I crossed my arms. "Spill it."
"Uh... I don't really remember what happened," Takemichi blurted.
Does he think we're stupid?
"What are you talking about?" Hina inquired. "What's up with you, you're so weird lately?! Today, you're the adult Takemichi, but the night we watched fireworks together up on the roof, you left and just rushed home without saying a word. And you've been cold to me at school. But now, you seem nice again."
"Yeah, you started to act like a jerk wad to everyone," I added. "It's like you had a complete personality change overnight."
The boy stood still, lightly punching his temple in the deafening silence, which was soon interrupted by the sound of his phone ringing. "Oh, it's Draken!"
My friend and I made eye contact, both confused by what the hell had just happened, while the suspicious male took his phone call.
"Hina, I'm sorry, but for some reason Draken wants to see me."
Coincidentally, my phone began to vibrate, signaling that Mikey texted me as well.

"Looks like I'm being summoned too," I sighed.
"Fine," Hinata huffed. "Then I'll go with you two."
Takemichi stared at his girlfriend with wide eyes. "What?! Seriously?"
