2017:

Lying back on my bed, I tried to ponder why I was the one who received Takemichi's desperate call.

He should know all of this; he was literally there! I get that people lose childhood memories over time, but no one in their right mind could forget a tragedy such as that one.

Craning my neck to the side, I noticed that the bathroom door was open, leaving me to see a foggy outline of my husband through the glass shower door. My eyes focused on the darker spot through the glass: the dragon tattoo.

Not even Draken or myself was able to get through to him after he killed Kazutora.

A tear slipped down my face, as I reminisced about my middle school years.

Why can't we just go back to when we were all happy little kids?

A hand caressing my cheek quickly snapped me out of my thoughts. There Mikey was, staring into my eyes as he hovered over me, in only his towel. "What's wrong, Love?"

I smiled at him, immediately changing the subject. "That was quick."

The blonde pouted, lying down on top of me, putting all of his body weight on my chest like a clingy kitten. "Don't you go changing the subject on me. It's about Rin, isn't it?"

I let out a shaky breath, before wrapping my arms around my husband's neck, tightly.

Sometimes, I get glimpses of the old Mikey, who I fell in love with, but that's quite rare now.

"I missed you, Mikey."

2005:

Under the cover of night, Draken and I met up in a tunnel, waiting for Kazutora to join us.

Things will definitely go south if Mikey has the opportunity to fight Kazutora. Sure, he does want to kill Mikey, but I wouldn't be surprised if the feeling was mutual between the two.

Strolling up behind us, the boy with the lion tattoo showed his face. "Why'd you wanna meet up with me all of a sudden?"

"Been a while, huh, Kazutora?" Draken and I turned to face the guy. "Why don't we stop this fight? Win or lose against you guys, neither of us are gonna be happy."

"I just don't get it," I sighed. "Mikey stood up in your defense when you were arrested, so why the hell do you hate him so much? Did you forget he's the reason you got out early?! Do you have any idea how-"

"Shut up!" Kazutora interrupted. "Two whole years... That's how long I spent there, rotting in that jail cell! I'm not the same guy I was before!"

Well, that was obvious. Maybe being trapped with his own stench for so long altered his brain permanently. Or, he just blamed Mikey as a coping mechanism, because he couldn't live with the guilt of killing someone.

"Maybe not, but you're still a part of my crew," Draken admitted.

The black-and-blonde-haired boy turned around, making his way out of the tunnel. "That's exactly what I don't like about you two, Draken... (Y/n)... We're going to crush Toman in battle, the day after tomorrow!"

"Kazutora, this isn't what Mikey wants!" I shouted out after the boy, who ignored me in return. Slightly pissed off, I let out a sigh, before turning to my friend. "Well, at least we can say we tried. Let's just hope we can win this for Mikey's sake."

"Yeah, and we'll get Baji back too."

The two of us left the tunnel and walked down the street, where Mikey had been waiting for us, on his bike.
