2005:
Soon enough, Emma, Hinata, and I, alongside Takemichi's four friends, made it to the hospital, immediately making a beeline to the counter.
The blonde was struggling to fight her tears, as she basically yelled at the receptionist. "Where's Draken?!"
"Ken Ryuguji," I clarified. "An ambulance should've brought him in not too long ago for a stab wound."
"He just went in for surgery." The woman pointed to a door to the left. "There's a seating area right next to the O.R. over there."
"Thank you."
As we all made our way over to the benches, outside of the door with the red light, I pulled out my phone, realizing that it would probably be a smart idea to update my boyfriend.
Four unread messages? I guess I was so caught up by what was happening, that I didn't even notice my phone go off.

Mikey:
What the hell is going on?
Is everything ok?
(Y/n)?
Please tell me Draken's still alive
Y/n:
Draken's in surgery
I'm at the hospital now
Takemichi also got stabbed in his hand, but he'll be fine.
Mikey:
Ok
I'm on my way

As we all stepped into the waiting room, Hinata noticed her boyfriend, who was anxiously sitting on one of the benches. "Takemichi..."
"We can't do much, except pray," the blonde admitted.
Unable to hold back her tears, Emma began to sob uncontrollably, clinging onto Hinata and I as her knees buckled.
I can't even begin to imagine how she feels now. She's in love with Draken and thinks that she'll never be able to tell him how she feels.
"I don't get it," Hina frowned. "Draken seemed fine when they were loading him into the ambulance."
"Actually... Draken's heart stopped during the ambulance ride," Takemichi reluctantly revealed.
"Seriously?" I muttered. "Cardiac arrest?"
"No!" Emma sobbed. "This just can't be real! What if he dies? I'm scared!"
"Try to have faith," Hinata comforted.
"He'll pull through," I agreed. "He's one of the toughest guys I know."
The sound of rushed footsteps echoed down the hall, as Mitsuya and Peh joined us.
"Takemichi, how's Draken?!" The silver-haired boy called out.
"Mitsuya... Peh... Sorry, but it's bad." Takemichi turned to face the two, explaining the situation. "Before we even got to the hospital, his pulse nose-dived."
Another visitor entered the waiting room, overhearing the blonde's recap. Mikey joined us, in a dead silence, leading me to place my hand on his shoulder.
I know he's going through a lot right now. His best friend could die at any moment, but he's still forcing himself to keep his composure.
"Hello, Mikey." Takemichi greeted the boy but was only met with silence. "Draken is in the-"
