Part 25

Skipping 6 months. The boys are due anytime now. You had a small gender reveal and posted it on social media so you could tell the world. Everyone is so excited and happy for you. You are now on maternity leave, you have been for the last couple of months.
It's January, so it's the start of a new year, the year your babies will be here, you and Leah are so excited to finally hold them.
Leah is up in Manchester for the game against City. You are alone in the house just cleaning up from breakfast, your waters break.
Y/n: "not now! Mama is away, you need to wait for her"
You start having contractions pretty quickly.
Y/n: "in a rush ey?"
You call Amanda.
Amanda: "y/n, how are you?"
Y/n: "ye-yeah I'm ok, are you free?"
Amanda: "I am, is everything okay?"
Y/n: "erm my waters just broke"
Amanda: "why didn't you lead with that! I'm on my way!"
Y/n: "I'll call Leah"
Amanda: "okay, I'll be 10 minutes y/n"
Y/n: "okay see you soon"
Amanda puts the phone down and you call Leah.
Y/n: "come on pick up"
It's goes to voicemail. She must be training you think to yourself.
You call Jonas.
Jonas: "ahhh y/n, lovely to hear from you, we are at training right now, can I call you later?"
Y/n: "erm can you put leah on? My waters have broke"
Jonas: "shit, LEAH!"
She stops what she's doing and heads over to Jonas.
Leah: "yeah?"
Jonas: "for you"
Leah takes the phone and sees it's you.
Leah: "babe I'm at training, can I call you later?"
Y/n: "babe my waters have broken"
Leah: "shit shit shit, erm Jonas can I go"
Jonas: "why are you asking? Get out of here!"
Leah: "baby I'll call you back from my phone in just a second okay? Is my mum on her way?"
Y/n: "yeah she is"
Leah: "okay I'll be 2 minutes"
Leah passes the phone back to Jonas and runs off the pitch. The girls are confused.
Jonas: "y/ns waters have broken so leah won't be playing in the game tomorrow."
Beth: "that family always know how to make an entrance"
Everyone laughs and gets back to training.

Leah does as she promised and calls you from her phone. She sets off to come back down to London. You tell her to meet you at the hospital as you are on your way there already with Amanda.
Leah: "I love you"
Y/n: "I love you, I'll see you soon okay?"
Leah: "I'll be just over an hour"
Y/n: "okay"
Leah ends the call. You and Amanda go into the hospital and you get put in a room.
Your contractions are getting stronger and more painful.
Y/n: "no one said this would hurt so much"
Amanda: "you are doing great, you've got this"
Y/n: "how long is Leah going to be?"
Amanda: "I'll ring her now okay?"
Y/n: "okay"
Amanda rings Leah.
Leah: "hey how's it going?"
Amanda: "it's going quickly, how long will you be?"
Leah: "half an hour maybe?"
Y/n: "maybe? Leah you better be here"
Leah: "I will be babe, I will be, I won't be long, I love you"
Y/n: "if you loved me you'd be here"
Leah: "I'll be there babe, I promise"
Amanda steps out of the room to talk to Leah.
Leah: "is she okay?"
Amanda: "she's in a lot of pain, don't listen to anything she says"
Leah: "I won't"
Amanda: "just get here quickly, I don't think the boys can wait much longer"
Leah: "I'll be as quick as I can"
Amanda: "okay, love you"
Leah: "love you"
The phone call ends and Amanda heads back into the room.
Y/n: "im sorry I didn't mean to snap like that"
Amanda: "it's okay, she knows you don't mean it"
Y/n: "I just want her here"
Amanda: "she'll be here, I know she will"

The midwife comes in half an hour later and checks you over.
Midwife: "right y/n, one of your little boys is ready, I need you to start pushing"
Y/n: "no! Leah isn't here"
Amanda: "5 more minutes?"
Midwife: "the baby will go into distress if we don't start now"
Y/n: "okay okay"
You start crying, wishing Leah was here.
Amanda: "she will be here before you know it."
The midwife tells you to start pushing when someone rushes through the door.
Leah: "im here I'm here, did I miss anything"
Amanda: "no, I'll wait outside"
Leah: "thanks for being here mum"
Amanda kisses Leah's cheek and waits outside.
Leah: "im here, I'm sorry I wasn't here to start with"
Y/n: "you're here now"
Leah grabs your hand and you start pushing. 10 minutes later you hear a cry. A baby cry.
Midwife: "one of your boys is here"
The midwife places him on your chest and Leah cuts the cord. You start crying in relief.
Leah: "hi son, we've waited too long to meet you"
You are still in pain but you are so happy.
Y/n: "one of my boys"
You kiss his head and cuddle him.
Midwife: "y/n, baby B is on his way now too"
Y/n: "I can't do it"
Leah: "you can baby you can"
One of the nurses takes the baby from your chest and cleans him up.
Leah: "I know you're tired babe but you can do this, it will all be over soon, I promise"
Leah kisses your head as you start pushing again.
Another 10 minutes passes and you hear a cry again, but you know it's a different cry.
Midwife: "you did it y/n, they are both here, happy and healthy"
Leah starts tearing up as he is placed on your chest. She cuts his cord too.
Leah: "they are both so so so perfect babe, thank you"
Y/n: "why are you thanking me?"
Leah: "for giving me two perfect sons"
Leah kisses you softly and looks down at the baby on your chest.
The midwife cleans the babies up and places them both on your chest.
You kiss their heads.
Y/n: "I love you both so much, baby? Hold them"
Leah: "they look so comfy"
Leah picks one of them up and he instantly cuddles into her.
Leah: "hi I'm your mama"
Y/n: "we need names babe"
Leah: "the two we picked out are perfect"
Y/n: "who is who?"
Leah: "I think this is Noah"
Y/n: "and you're Lucas"
Leah: "shall we call grandma in?"
Y/n: "yes, get her in here"
Leah puts Noah down in his cot next to your bed and goes to get Amanda. She's stood outside with Jacob and David now.
Leah: "you three coming in or what?"
Amanda: "are they here?"
Leah: "they are here and they are perfect"
Amanda, David and Jacob all walk in.
Y/n: "hey guys, this is Lucas"
Amanda: "he's so perfect"
Leah: "and this is Noah"
