Chapter 32

"Zaffire, may dapat ba akong malaman?"

"B-baby, w-nothing. I thought Clark just told you something. About his school." Even though his voice was low and raspy, it was still obvious that he was hiding something.

"Sige, huwag ka na magpapakita saakin pag umuwi ka." I said in annoyed tone.

Narinig ko siyang napabuntong hininga, "He asked me last week if we are in a relationship."

Umawang ang labi ko at tumingin sa loob ng bahay.

"What did you say? Don't tell me, sinabi mo na boyfriend na kita?" I asked.

"Yes. Is it wrong that I'm your boyfried?"

I was about to speak when he spoke again.

"Baby, bub, I assured him. I told him my intention to you, to him. I didn't let him be confused or angry with me. That I treat him like my child and then he'll know that I'm your boyfriend? But, he didn't say anything and it seemed to be okay with him."

I breathed a sigh of relief and still couldn't help but think that Clark already knew.

"I'm sorry if I haven't told him yet. Sasabihin ko naman sa kanya, kina Daddy at Kuya." I stammered. "I'm not hiding our relationship, I just don't know how to tell them."

I heard him chuckle. "It's okay, bub. Nothing to worry about. Don't rush too,"

I smiled and looked at the night sky. "I wish you were here," I said. Agad din akong nalungkot. Isang buwan siya sa Siargao. May malaking proyekto raw sila roon at si Faera ang kasama na isang architect.

"Do you want me to go home? Pwede naman."

"H-hoy hindi! Nakakapaghintay pa naman ako."

Zaffire and I talked about what happened to us today  at kahit ayaw ko pa mang patayin ang tawag, I still ended our call because I was called to eat.

"Have you and Zaffire gotten back together, darling?" That's Mommy. They all looked up to me.

"A-uh, y-yes. He's my boyfriend na but! It has a story guys!" I told them.

Since sabaw nalang naman ang kinakain ko ay binitawan ko ang kutsara ko at tumingin sa kanila.

Nakita ko pang paalis na sana sa kanilang kinauupuan si ate Yasmin at ate Brie.

"Sisters. Stay still. It's okay that you're here, pamilya na rin naman kayo at para malaman niyo na rin." I smiled.

I cleared my throat because that stares of my older brothers are killing me!

"Remember when Zaffire courted me ten years ago? Then after a month, months, maybe, I answered him before I even left. But I didn't tell him. Even when I was still in Canada and when I came here to the Philippines. Then we talked last month about the two of us. Then,.. h-he's n-now my boyfriend. " I looked down. Nasasamid na si Daddy, at si Kuya Blhack na katabi ko.

"Hindi ba parang ang bilis? You were just being courted by him then and you were only together for a few weeks when you came back, tapos boyfriend mo na kaagad?" Kuya Dark's tone was a little bit off. He is questioning about the boyfriend thingy.

"Nakita mo nga kung paano niligawan ni Zaffire si Lighht eh, diba? Then you even said, Lighht is lucky with Zaffire because not all men are capable to court girls." Sumabat si ate Yasmin. Seryoso, sinabi 'yon ni Kuya Dark?

Kuya Dark didn't answer and just nodded.

"Then that's good! Kasalan nalang," My eyes widened and at the same time Kuya shouted.
