I miss you, like everyday
Wanna be with you, but you're away
Said I miss you, missing you insane
But if I got with you, could it feel the same

"Lani's in the car to drop by my parents before we go." It'd been just a little over two weeks since everything occurred. Amerie looked to Syre who dressed in his all black attire, and Xyden who seemingly matched in his own all black attire just without the addition of the dark shades that covered over Syre's eyes.

Nodding, he stepped into the passenger side of the car while Xyden silently got in the back. There were few times he willingly allowed Amerie to consider herself his chauffeur, or anyone for that matter, but on a day like this he allowed her to take the lead.

"Daddy!" Malani waved from her carseat to her father who glanced back at her.

"Wassup princess." His strained, raspy voice spoke to his daughter who smiled widely. Amerie glanced up through the rearview mirror, watching her daughter who raised her body from her car seat to look over towards Xyden who'd been quiet.

"Hi brudda." Malani waved to Xyden who only gave her a small wave in response, making Malani's lips turn down in a small frown. "Oh...Xyden sad mommy." She tapped Amerie before pointing over towards her brother.

"Leave Xyden alone princess." Amerie spoke, just as she pulled away from Syre's building.

She didn't speak to him, nor did he speak to her, but not for any reason aside from the fact she knew he just needed silence right now. She made sure Malani kept her headphones on when watching whatever she entertained herself with on her iPad, just to allow the peace within the confined car.

Syre's eyes stared out through the window, hand stroking at his goatee just in thought. He watched, from the dark limo tints of his shades, the way life carried on and moved. Times like these were some that made his mind go into a state of overdrive that he commonly didn't suffer from. He zoned out completely, just washing over with so many different thoughts and memories until eventually, he was standing in front of the large white building that welcomed in all those dressed in their black.

The screams of pain, wails of crying echoed onto the streets through the open door that held greeting ushers. His eyes stared ahead through his dark shades, until feeling the warmth of a soft hand in his. The lines within her hand being recognized, allowing relaxation to settle without even needing to take a glance in her direction.
