Falling for him

Chapter 03

When i arrived at home mom was there.
"Hi mom" i flop down the couch and laid my head on her lap.
"Hi sweetie, how was school?" she ask smiling down at me while playing with my hair. I love her touch, it comforts me so much. I closed my eyes.
"School was... school" i sigh. I seem to be doing that a lot lately.

"Talk to me" mom say. This woman knows me so well, she's my bestfriend afterall and i love her so much.
"I miss them" my voice cracked a little. Tears starts pulling in my eyes, i tried to blink them away but its useless. They soon rolled down my cheeks.

"Who?" she asked her voice full of concern. She pulled me to her chest after wiping my tears.
"D-dad and..." i let out a sob
"And him?" she asks referring. I know who does she refers to by him, I nodded my head. Mom didnt say anything after, i cant blame her because its also difficult for her. After dad died it was so difficult for us, mom was always at work, Zander was always in trouble, Trouble was his second name and me? I was... just me, crying myself to sleep. But we all recovered and fixed ourselves, dealt with our problem like a family and i'm glad that we did that.

I open my eyes and find myself on a couch and a comfort blanket sprawled on my body. I think i fell asleep on the couch, i walk to the kitchen to cook something because i'm so hungry. You are always hungry, says Cassie. Oh shut up. My eyes caught a sticky note pasted on the fridge. I walk up to it.

Off to work.

Food's inside the fridge, just warm it up.

I laugh at the two last words. Momma bear. I would always called her that when i was young.

"What's so funny?" I jump at the voice. I look at my brother. I almost jump in his arms and vent about my day and that i think i made friends. But i remember what he did to me today. So i ignored him and i open the fridge and took out my food to warm it up.

"You're mad?" he ask his voice low. I scoffed, of course i'm mad. He's the one who stood me up.
Piss of sh... cake. "Come on, Lei. Dont be mad at me... pleeeaseee!" He pleaded with puppy eyes. Urgh.

"I'm not mad" i replied turning away from him.

"Of course you're not" he chuckles. Then the next thing i know his arms were so tightly wrap around my small figure.
"Cant breathe Zan" i say laughing. He laughs and let go of me.

"Now can you kindly warm up my food ?" he sent me one of his best smiles. Uh-uh, he has hands for a reason.
"You have han-" i was cut short by him
"Please Lei Pleeeasee!"
"Your wish is my command" i sarcastically say with a little bow. He laughs disappearing in the living room. I love this motherfudge. I smile.

After we were done eating, we watched a disney movie just to push the time.
"Still gonna take me to the bookstore tomorrow?" I ask when the movie was over.
"Bookstore?" He ask with a puzzled face. Ooh, dont tell me he forgot about our plans.
"Yeah... You forgot" i exclaim frowning at him.
"No, of course not" he chuckles nervously and i smile "But i cant take you. I have an important meeting tomorrow" my smile dropped at that.
"Ooh" i say
"I'm sorry Lei"
"Its okay" i put on my fake smile.
"No its not. I can cancel the meeting if you want" he say shocking me. My eyes went wide open.
"What? No dont" i try to bring back his mind because clearly his slowly losing it.
"But you're mad that i..." i cut him off
"Who says im mad?" I raise my brow at him.
"Dont lie or i'll tickle you" i instantly freeze at his words, i quickly cover from my panic.
"And who says i'm ticklish?" i sassed. He knows you are ticklish, he's Zander your brother, does that ring a bell? Cassie says.
"Let's find out then" he slowly came close to me. I stood up and dash to my room locking the door after entering. I hear him laugh. I'm save, thank god.

After a while i unlocked my door and went down.
"You are back i see" i freeze at my brother's voice.
"I-i thought you went to sleep?" it came out like a question. He raise his eyebrow.
"Relax i wont tickle you" he smiles at me and i nodded. I turn back up to the stairs. I say
"Goodnight big baby" before dashing up to my room and got in laughing.i hear him say 'Ooh no'.I took a shower then wore my pjs. I hit the sack the moment my head touched my pillow.

Five years old Leilani was playing around the park when she saw a boy sitting alone on the grass. She went up to him and sat next to him.
"Hi" her little voice said said to the boy. The boy looked up and was met with hazel eyes. He has never seen such beautiful eyes ever in his life.
"Hi" he replied
"What's your name?" Leilani ask him.
"Luciano. What's yours?
"I'm Leilani. Nice to meet you" she extend her small hand. Luciano was surprised, he never had a friend because they were making fun of his blue eyes.
"Nice to meet you too" he accepted her hand
"Can we be friends?" Leilani ask Luciano.
"Really?" He grinned at the girl that wants to be her friend. I mean no one ever said that to him.
"Yess... I like you eyes" Leilani said to him
"Thank you. I like yours too"
They then sat together and Luciano told her that he was mad at his parents and he ran away from them.
Then the next thing Leilani was screaming and crying  because her friend was being dragged away from her by the men who wore scary masks with black clothes
"Leilani!" Luciano sreamed
"No let me go! Leilani!"

"Leilani!" "Wake up"

She wakes up and see her mother on her bed.
"Are you okay sweetie?" Her mom ask concern. She nodded.
"You were dreaming?" her mom ask and she again nodded her head.

"What time is it?" I ask her yawning. She checks her watch on her wrist, thats when i notice that she's still in her work uniform.

"05:30" she replied. What? Its still early. "I was just checking you and i noticed that you were mumbling in your sleep, thats when i woke you up. You should go back to sleep sweetie" she says after seeing my surprised face. I smile and nodded.

She stand up and walk to the door.
"I love you mom" i say to her. She stops and look back at me, a smile on her beautiful face.
"I love you too sweetie" she says and walks out of the door closing it after she was out. I look up at the ceiling thinking about the blue eyed, Luciano. I fall in a deep slumber after counting the sheeps.
