NAIJA opened the door, smiling as she waved to the OB-GYN. Her smile dropped as soon as she stood outside the door and pondered for a moment.
Today she went to do blood work to confirm her pregnancy and to her surprise(not) she was pregnant. She wished somehow that the pregnancy test was just a false positive since she only had the courage to take 1–but she knew it was unlikely.
She exhaled lightly and left the building, not knowing whether to be happy or unhappy. Brave or scared. She had no idea how to feel.
She glanced down at her phone as she waited for her uber to take her back home, feeling it buzz inside her purse
