Seeing Stars

Hoco was sitting on the couch, sipping some coffee as Moxxie sat beside her, she offered Moxxie a cup which he accepted. Soon Millie joined us, I handed Moxxie another cup, which he handed over to Millie.
"What's this all about, honey?" Millie asked.
"Ah, oh! Blitz finally talked to her about her attitude with clients." He told her.
"And it's fucking hilarious." I chimed in. Blitz moved the couch and hid behind it as Loona stalked forward, growling at him.
"I just think some small tweaks might help you be more of a uh, people person, you know?" Blitz said, obviously scared.
"I am a people person!" Loona growled, picking up Blitz. "If I'm so terrible, how about you just grow a pair and replace me?" Loona asked him.
"Okay, well, maybe I- Maybe I might." Blitz said.
"What?" Loona asked, her mood suddenly changing, Blitz looked back at us, I shook my head but Moxxie gave him a thumbs up.
"Maybe I will, little missy! Yeah, that's right it's tough love time. So, now you can... go... to your desk!" He said. I got up and went behind the couch, I was about to lean on it when I saw Octavia behind us. I was about to say hello to her until she lifted a finger up to her mouth that was covered by her hair. I tilted my head at her and she gestured me to follow her. I took a step toward her then peeked at Blitz before looking back at her and shaking my head. Octavia looked around before running to me and snatching my wrist before pulling me into Blitz's office.
"What are you doing here!?" I asked.
"My dad promised me a long time ago that I would see the stars I told you about. So I'm seeing those stars." She said.
"No! Nuh uh! I'm not being apart of this." I said. She slid her hand down and grabbed my hand. I blushed and looked at her.
"Please?" She asked. I felt myself blush harder. Octavia paused then smiled. "I'll give you a kiss on the cheek if you help me." She said. I blushed harder before walking behind her and taking the portrait off the wall and punched in the '1234' code and opened the safe. I grabbed the book and hesitated before handing it to her. She smiled as Octavia got very excited to grab the book.
"Now.. Just take a couple of pictures of the stars for me." I said, I turned but I felt her grab my hand.
"Wait." She said. I looked over at her, suddenly she gave my cheek a kiss and I felt myself go all red. "Now our deal is fulfilled." She smiled before opening the book. Hoco quickly snuck out of the room and went to the corner.
"Um, sir?" Moxxie said as we heard the book being used.
"The fuck?" Blitz went. The three burst into the room and I waited outside. "Looona!" Blitz suddenly shouted.
"Oh, yeah. You have a visitor." Loona called, I sat back on the couch and scrolled through my phone. After a bit Blitz walked out of the room and picked up the phone, he called Stolas and told him.
"Hey, Stolas, so, your daughter came by, took your book, and teleported off to who the fuck knows where, and we have no way of getting either of them back, okay?! Okay! Good talk, byeee!" He hung up the phone and flinched. "Oh, that actually went better than I thought." He said before the door got blown open and the couch I was sitting on got flipped. With me still on it.
"BLITZ!" We heard Stolas yell. After a bit Stolas calmed down.
"How could this happen?! Do you just let anyone waltz into your office and grab infinitely powerful artifacts?! Why would she do this? How are we supposed to find her? Where would she go?" Stolas said worried.
"She said something about stars." I said but I was all mumbled.
"What was that?" Stolas asked.
"Hold on." Millie said, I heard her walk over and she flipped the couch.
"Thank you Millie." I said as she helped me up.
"No problem." She said.
"Octavia said something about the stars today. Does that mean anything?" I asked.
"Oh no, she doesn't know how to use my grimoire! Where did she go?" Stolas asked. Loona and I sniffed the air.
"Well, it reeks of urine and desperation so..." Loona said.
"L.A." I finished for her. Loona and I suddenly noticed the others staring at us.
"What?" We asked. Suddenly Stolas opened a portal and the other shoved us through.
"Alright, Loona, Hoco, let's make this quick. In and out before anyone notices us here. Oh. This doesn't look much different from Hell. Alright, now let's get to work. Loonie, Hoco, sniff!" Blitz told us. I tried sniffing the air but I almost threw up.
"Bleck.." I stuck my tongue out.
"How am we supposed to smell anything in this city?" Loona asked.
"Can't you even do one thing right?" Moxxie asked.
"Ow.." I said, feeling sad.
"Not you Hoco!" Moxxie said quickly.
"It's okay, it's just hard to smell anything here. I'll look around and see if I can catch anything." I told them.
"We'll catch up." Millie said. I nodded and ran off. I turned into my human for before anyone saw me and grabbed my phone. I quickly called Octavia.
"Hoco?" She answered.
"Octavia, please tell me where you are. I need to protect you." I told her.
"Okay.. Sending you my tracker right now." She said before hanging up. I looked at my phone and quickly followed it. I eventually found Octavia, I grabbed her and held her.
"Don't.. Please don't ever scare my like that again.." I told her. She hugged me back.
"I-I just wanted to see the stars.." She told me. I held her. "I don't want to be alone right now.." Octavia said, I understood and kept her in my arms as I changed back to my hellhound form. It took a while but the moon came up and Loona eventually found us.
"Hey." She said. I looked away from her, trying not to growl.
"Hey." Octavia said, I wiped her tears away. "How did you find us?" She asked.
"Your Sinstagram. Nice pics by the way." Loona told Octavia.
"Oh, thanks." Octavia said, she sniffled.
"You okay?" Loona asked.
"Can't believe I was so stupid. I spent all day looking for a place where I could see some dumb meteor shower. And all I get is... This!" She said. Gesturing to the sky while crying.
"Yeah, smog's a bitch." Loona said before trying to light a cigarette. Octavia helped her. "You know, your dad's really worried about you." She told Octavia.
"Right! That's why you're here instead of him. He couldn't be bothered to keep his promise, and now he can't be bothered to come and get me himself. He'd rather spend his time just screaming at my mum. Why does he hate her more than he loves me?" She cried into my shoulder. I hugged her. Before I got to speak Loona spoke.
"Sometimes... sometimes it's not as simple as that. This kind of shit gets messy, and everybody's got issues, especially dads. And sometimes they fuck up -- well, all the time. But, that doesn't mean they don't care." Loona said.
"That's true, take my dad. He's not exactly all perfect perfect, but no dad is. It doesn't mean they stopped caring. But things will change." I told her.
"If he cares, where is he?" Octavia asked.
"He's somewhere down there." Loona told her.
"He's here?" Octavia asked.
"Yeah, looking for you." I told her, gently nuzzling her cheek.
"Try to cut your dad some slack. He may not always get it right, but... he's trying. That's more important than you think. You ready to go?" Loona asked. Standing up and holding her hand out to Octavia. I looked away and Octavia got up and pulled me with her.
"Yeah." She said, Loona opened the book and opened a portal. Soon we all walked through.
"Loona!" We heard Blitz shout. "Oh, Loona, my sweet baby girl! I'm so sorry, I'll never replace you no matter what you-!" Before he could finish his sentence Loona kicked him where it hurt.
"You're good." Loona told him as he flipped on the ground.
"Dad... I'm so sorry." Octavia said as she left my arms and walked toward her dad. Suddenly Stolas hugged her, going back to his owl form.
"I'm just relieved you're okay! But, what would possess you to do such a thing? You know I haven't taught you spells like this yet." Stolas told her before looking at me.
"It wasn't her. I just wanted to see the stars you promised." Octavia said.
"The stars?" Stolas gasped. "Azathoth's tears! Oh, no. Oh, my dear sweet Via. I am so-" Octavia cut him off.
"I know, dad. It's okay, you're here now." She told him. We suddenly started hearing a loud popping sound and we looked at the sky to see beautiful shiny lights.
"What the fuck is that?" Loona asked, Blitz got up and she smiled.
"My acting career..." Blitz said.
"Look at that one! Did you see that one?" Octavia asked, pointing at them.
"Now, where the fuck are M&M?" Blitz asked. Loona opened the book and we went back to the office. Octavia suddenly jumped into my arms and I spun her around and we laughed.
"I'm just so happy I was able to get there to protect you before you got hurt." I told her. I stopped paying attention as I spun her around again.
"I know I know, and I'm sorry, I promise I'll tell you next time." Octavia said, cuddling my neck.
