I slowly climbed down through the wall, my claws dug into the wall as I slowly came down. My dad was always asleep by now anyways so I knew it would be the perfect time to come back. I jumped down, accidentally kicking up some dust. But I didn't make much noise.
"Ahem.." I heard behind me, I quickly turned around, my ears going down. "Where have you been, young missy?" My dad asked with a slight hiss.
"I was just visiting a friend.." I said nervously.
"You were out seeing that schmuck again, weren't you?" He hissed.
"They're not a schmuck! They're just a bit complicated." I told him, but I could tell by the way his tail was whipping, he was pissed.
"You thought that about.. Him.." He said, gritting his teeth.
"You agreed we would never talk about him again!" I shouted.
"Don't you raise your voice at me young lady!" He hissed out.
"Why shouldn't I?! Every friend I make you constantly think they're a schmuck because they aren't a wrathian! You can pick my friends, dad! They're mine to choose!" I argued.
"I'm trying to protect you! I'm trying to make sure you don't get hurt!" He argued back.
"If I get hurt then let me! It'll be my lesson to learn! I'm bound to get hurt every now and again! So let me learn from it!" I argued back.
"It's my job as your father to make sure you don't even get hurt! You're my daughter and my responsibility!"
"Dad! I get you care about me! But I can never learn unless you allow me to learn for myself!"
"Bah! If I let you out there without careful supervision then you'd probably have been kicked to death by a horse!"
"Oh, hardy har har! That only happened once! And when I was still learning about horses! I'm not a puppy, dad!"
"As far as I'm concerned, you are! You wouldn't be able to take care of yourself if I didn't adopt you!"
"I would be able to take care of myself just fine! I would've been fine just being kicked out of the hell hole orphanage! I would be able to survive on my own!"
"Have you ever actually seen one of those hellhounds be kicked out?! Or are you too naive to realize what's actually been happening?!" He shouted, causing me to think.
What is happening talking about?!
"What the hell are you talking about dad?!" I shouted back.
"They get put down! They go to sleep! They're never seen again! Don't you ever wonder why so many imps pity hellhounds who are nearly of age?! You would've been gone if it wasn't for me!"
"You're lying! They wouldn't put down hellhounds! Just because there aren't any stray hounds doesn't mean we're being out down! Maybe we're just hiding to keep ourselves from being snatched! Just stop talking about what you don't know!"
"Face the truth, Hoco! If you would've waited for Loona to come of age, she would've been dead! Because both of you are so naive and stupid! It's no wonder she became your best friend in the orphanage! You're both stupid!" He shouted, I growled loudly.
"I'm not stupid! You don't know what stupid means! Otherwise you'd realize it's what you are!"
"Why are you acting like such a bitch!?" He quickly covered his mouth, realizing what he said. My mouth dropped open as he called me that. There was heavy silence between us. He tried to take a step toward me, reaching his hand out, I took a step back, jerking back. "Sweetheart-"
"Please don't talk to me, Striker." I said.
I can't.. Call him dad right now.. He's hurt me so much.. That hurt so much.. He promised that as long as I was his daughter. He would never call me that word.. Yet he did.. So I'm not his daughter.
"Hoco.." I heard his voice slightly crack. "Sweetheart, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it."
"If you didn't mean it, you wouldn't have said it in a fit of rage. I want to leave for a bit.." I wiped my eyes.
"I.. But Hoco-"
"Please stop." I shook my head, I walked past him and picked up the horse saddle I always used for Merciless. "I'll come back when I'm ready to be home."
"Sweetheart I am sorry, I really didn't mean it!" He tried to beg. But I wasn't listening. I put the saddle on Merciless and got on.
"Ride.." I whispered to Merciless, she neighed loudly before jumping over the small fence and running.
"Hoco! Sweetheart! Please! You're my daughter! I swear I didn't mean it!"
"Keep riding.." I said, Merciless huffed before running faster, I finally let out a sob. Gritting my teeth as I continued riding on Merciless. "To the Gluttony Ring." I told her. She neighed before going to the elevator and jumping to it. I grabbed the rope and tugged it hard. I hugged Merciless's neck, not even paying attention to how fast the elevator was moving. She neighed softly at me. I gripped her a little bit.
I need to go somewhere I know he won't try to look for me.. He never found out where Bee's mansion was yet. He never asked. I can hide there. Bee will understand.. I can't believe he called me that.. He promised me he..
"To Bee's mansion girl. I'll just start taking the real elevator to get to the Pride Ring." I told Merciless as she jumped off the elevator and to the ground, landing with a thump. She turned her head slightly to look at me and neighed. I smiled a bit and petted her head. "I know girl.. I know.. But it'll get better.. I promise.. I'm.. So.. Sorry.." I slightly sobbed. Wiping my eyes as I gripped her a bit more, she neighed and began riding. Moving fast enough we arrived at the mansion in a few minutes.
"Hoco! My bitch! Whatcha doing here- Are you okay?" Bee's voice immediately changed from happy and excited to concerned and worried.
"I need to stay with you for a while.."
