"Got the key?"

"Yep."

"Alright, let's do this thing," y/n says, walking up to the front door of our new home with me, hand in hand.

It's been a year since I started my job, and y/n and I just celebrated our anniversary not too long ago. Life is good, and it feels amazing to finally be able to say that.

I don't know how, and as cliche as it is, I fall more and more in love with her every day. Just getting to know her, and finally opening up myself to someone has only brought me happiness.

I've become accustomed to this new earth, slowly but surely. I kept my fake identity as Scott Allen Serra, and all my coworkers have gotten into the habit of calling me Scottie. Hah, y/n gets jealous of that, it's adorable.

I met her family, and they welcomed me with open arms almost immediately. Although they don't know my secret, they did tell me I looked incredibly familiar... Nonetheless, they treat me like a son, and I couldn't be more thankful.

As for Viv, she's doing great. She moved out into a nice condo, living on her own, still obsessed with her cat. It was nice of her to help us pack and move all our things, but strangely it made me feel emotional knowing I'd see her a lot less. But, that's part of life.

No, we haven't gotten a dog. I work with the sweetest pups every day, but I've yet to bring one home. Y/n does constantly talk about wanting one, and we've discussed types of dogs and names. And yeah, we've discussed baby names too.

I watch as she unlocks the door, opening it to reveal the empty living room and kitchen. We step inside, dropping our bags, and looking around. Although we've seen the house before, it's surreal to walk in and know it's ours.

"Holy shit, we have a house. We have a house!!!!" She squeals, the biggest smile on her face. I laugh and smile, picking her up and spinning her around, giving her a small kiss on the lips before I set her back down.

"See, told ya saving was a good idea," I say. She shakes her head, still ecstatic.

"No regrets, babe. We did good," she says, hugging me tight. I hug her back, looking around at the blank space we'll fill with items and memories. I smile just a little harder, thinking about what's ahead. I think about the life I left behind, and remember how grateful I am for where I'm at now.

A car horn honks outside, and we look to each other once more before running back outside.

"Get out here and give me a hand, love birds!" Viv shouts from the driver's seat of her car, parked behind my jeep. Yes, it's blue, and yes, I love it.

"Alright, let's get our workout in babe," y/n says, nudging my arm.

"Oh, if you think this is a workout, just wait till tonight," I smirk. "Moving boxes is just the beginning."

"Ooh, alright pretty boy, you better keep your word." I laugh at her excitement, and follow her to the car.

5 months later

"Come here Ash, come on!" Y/n says, calling over the pup. Our little german shepherd runs to her, just barely learning her own name.

"Good girl," I tell her, giving her a neck scratch. She leans into me, loving every bit of it. Y/n kneels down and hugs her, the dog panting and smiling. My girls, so adorable.

"Give her a treat, she listened to us," she says to me.

"Cupcake, if we give her any more of those treats the vet won't be too happy with us," I say with a smile. "Plus, I still need to teach her other commands. The treats will come to her, but she's gotta earn em."

"Fiiine. She just looks so happy." I tilt my head, looking down at them.

"She's just as happy as the both of us, baby." Her eyes look up to me with a gleam, and her toothy smile warms my heart. Y/n stands up and kisses me, something I've never gotten tired of. I kiss her back and wrap my arms around her, wanting it to last forever.

"Leon?"

"Yeah hon?"

"I- I don't know what I was gonna say. I'm just.. really happy." I grin down at her, adoring her flustered state.

"You don't have to say anything, my love. I can sense your feelings, they translate. I love you," I tell her, doting on her.

"I love you too, Kent."
