Her husband scoffed, "I killed him on the way here."

Cronus flexed his jaw, adjusting his stance stiffly. "With all due respect..." He narrowed his eyes, "I distinctly remember killing my little brother."

Ullr was satisfied with his respect and didn't become an enraged caveman.

Suddenly, everyone's faces scrunched up in horrid disgust.

A vile smell washed over them. It smelt like a gorey corpse that's been rotting for two days, its innards creating a stink unlike any other. Selene, River, and Lucifer pinched their noses. Riot waved a hand in front of her face.

"Holy fuck." The French woman nearly gagged, "I've hunted rogues for most my life, but I've NEVER smelt something this bad."

Cronus, struggling to fight it, blocked his nose. "Fuck, that's bad..." He muttered, his voice sounding funny with his pinched nasal.

Bushes ruffled nearby, causing everyone to look over.

A hunched-over, tall lycan crawled out from the depths of the darkness.

His cheek flesh was torn open, jaw hanging lowly with drool slipping from his maws. The puncture holes on his collarbone and neck were still extremely present.

Cronus dropped his grasp on his nose, "What the fuck?" He breathed, "I ripped him apart... how?"

"You're gambling your life, fuck head." Lucifer threatened, still blocking his nose. Ullr also stood up and was breathing threateningly- wide shoulders rising and falling.

Alongside the two tall males, her husband absolutely dwarfed them.

The disgusting Lycan cackled, "What life?" He rumbled through damaged vocal cords, "I'm immortal!"

Selene's eyes widened. Suddenly- everything made sense.

He suffered the damage and scars, but Argus couldn't die. For all she knew- the arrows he suffered could've killed him, too. He was a walking, thinking, and intelligent zombie lycan.

"No matter what- I will chase that damned bitch until her guts colour the ground!" He pointed at Selene with glee.

Lucifer's face shifted into a rage, and he dropped his hand from his nose. "You're a fucking man-whore." He hissed.

"He is, isn't he?" Ullr scoffed, "Pathetic little lump of flesh."

"More like a maggot." Riot snarled.

They were all verbally ganging up on him, slowly taking steps toward the disgusting wolf.

Selene, though, could only think about how... damaged he was. This poor man has lost himself in insanity to the point he'd follow someone else's demands like a slave.

He suffered all the pain and torment, but nothing could stop him.

She frowned, eyes clouding over. "What... What did Signey do to you?" She whispered.

The others looked at her in confusion.

"Everything." His murky green eyes widened, "My mistress has given me more than you ever have, bitch!"

Riot was clearly irritated, clenching her fists tightly. "That's it." She exhaled.

Turning toward everyone else, she scowled. "Cronus and I will bury him." She'd say, then pointed at her younger sister, "River- try to remember what the fuck mother said before dying."

River curtly nodded, happy to be tasked with something that wasn't violent. "I'll try."

Lucifer raised his hand, "I want to help bury the body!" He'd exclaim, "I have a bone to pick with this slimy bastard."

Argus snickered in amusement.

The three stomped toward Argus, who snickered in delight and lept into the forest. The wolves shifted- Riot bending into a Lycan- and ran after the zombie with malicious anger.

Selene was left with River and her husband.

She knew Ullr would've wanted to kill and bury Argus, too, but his protective instincts over Selene overrode that with ease.

Still, the goddess couldn't help but frown.

A monster is nothing short of a broken and lost person.

Ullr always said, "Your kindness may one day be your demise."
