Chapter 30: I Plan To Marry Her, But I Haven't Won Her Over Yet

In these times, helicopters are very, very rare because the technology is not quite successful yet, so seeing one on a remote island is even more surprising!

 The few people descending from the helicopter all have a remarkably heroic appearance, dressed in military uniforms, exuding a mountain-like sense of oppression.

Li Haixia cautiously says, "Hello, we are the educated youths responsible for construction here..."

The leader, a man in his forties, nods, "Indeed, you have developed this place very well!"

He gestures, addressing the bespectacled man nearby, "Officer Zhang, capture their achievements on film, so that other educated youths can learn from them!"

The arrival of these military personnel makes Gu Ling and the others feel like they are dreaming. Watching them descend from the helicopter, tour the crops, sunflower fields, and the two houses they built, taking photos, and then departing in the helicopter again.

Li Haixia was somewhat uneasy, "Have we done something wrong? I overheard them talking in low voices; it seems like they're on a mission nearby. Judging by their military ranks, they seem to be formidable individuals!"

Gu Ling smiled, "We came to develop the island and have done our best to build it up. Now it's much better than when we first arrived. We have houses, wells, and crops. What mistake could we have made?"

This incident is like a side story. What Gu Ling doesn't know is that she indirectly set off a chain of events, helping Lu Yanchen narrowly escape a disaster!

The reason Lu Yanchen hasn't come around lately is that he received information about a group of criminals escaping to an island in the southwest direction. The police immediately launched a search, and Lu Yanchen naturally had to lead a team to assist. They combed the island searching for the suspects.

The criminals were particularly cunning, hiding in various undeveloped areas on the deserted island. Lu Yanchen, being equally shrewd, conducted a thorough search. After two days and nights, he finally discovered one of the suspects and swiftly subdued them upon confrontation!

But he didn't expect that this person was a decoy; the opposing group had long discovered them. Among the people coming to apprehend them, this tall and handsome man was the most agile. If they could subdue him, the others wouldn't pose much of a threat!

Subduing Lu Yanchen wasn't easy, so they had to sacrifice one person first, pretending to expose themselves so that Lu Yanchen could catch one of them. Then, the others would rush from behind and take this soldier's life!

There were two people searching with Lu Yanchen. When Lu Yanchen pinned a suspect to the ground, the other two quickly went to help.

Then, three other suspects hiding in the bushes suddenly jumped up, brandishing knives and stabbing towards Lu Yanchen!

Just at that moment, the roaring sound of a helicopter suddenly came from above. The suspects were stunned, and in that brief second, Lu Yanchen took advantage of the situation. He swiftly turned with the person in his hands, and when the knife came stabbing, it directly struck their accomplice's body!

The assailants tried to flee, but Lu Yanchen pulled out his gun and fired a few shots at their arms and legs. After the gunshots echoed, all the suspects knelt on the ground, unable to escape!

Beside him, Ding Shaoyang was terrified, his mouth dry, watching Lu Yanchen's hand dripping blood. Unable to hold back, he shouted, "Leader!"

Lu Yanchen's face was as cold as frost, "Capture them all!"

The four suspects were simultaneously apprehended by Lu Yanchen. If the helicopter hadn't seen Gu Ling's flower fields and houses on the island, it would not have delayed landing for a while. They would have flown away long ago, and the suspects wouldn't have been disturbed by the helicopter.
