Listing everything that has happened upon her reunion with Mira is just cheesy. We were there, we know what's happened. She isn't speaking this out loud to her sister so there's no real need for it. She mentions Aurelie's death again and I still don't feel like it's justified.
I also don't find it justified how quickly Mira gives up in arguing with Vi and Rhi sneaking out and instead agrees to break the rules, even though she is now out of school, and sneaks out WITH them. Is she is this military hero, she wouldn't be sneaking off and abandoning her duties without permission, even for a few hours.
The book of fables from Violet's dad comes into play again. The venin have to be real at this point. Gryphons have riders that sound very similar to dragon riders.
Another heavy sigh at Xaden's arrival. I was enjoying the chapter without him. But, seems like Yarros only cares about deepening the relationship between them.
