First let me start by saying that this book did not read like the adult novel it is marketed to be. It read like a YA until the sex scene, then it was outwardly graphic and awkward. As a YA novel, it would have been better than an adult novel. It was too convenient and not complex and had predictable concepts.
I would have liked it better as a YA. All my favorite YA series had slow burn romances that keep me going. As an adult, however, I want more than that.
I didn't dislike this book, I actually stayed up and kept reading because I needed to know what happened next. But I will not be recommending this book to my reading friends. It did not live up to the hype.
