Tae's mom invited all of us for his birthday. It was just a small family function. Just his and my family would be there. I wore a pink floral frock. And I did a ponytail as my hair was quite long.
I saw Renée wore a red long gown, and she did a full makeup.

Renée - Alizée? You wore frock?
Mom - What? Alizée, why.....
You - I don't wanna hide anything.
Mom - What will they think....
You - They won't think anything, Mom. It's just you and my beautiful sister!
Renée - You know what, do whatever! When they will make fun of you, it will be well, isn't it?
You - let me handle my own business from now on.
Mom - Renée, leave her alone. She won't listen to us anyway.

We went to their house. Eunha was decorating the tables with candles. Tan was watching TV. Tae wasn't there yet. Their eyes fell on me. I was a little bit nervous, but Eunha came to me.

Eunha - Hey, come here.... do you wanna help me with this?
You - Ah, sure.....
Renée - Where is Tae?
Tan - He is still getting ready.
His mom- Renée, go and call him now.

She smiled widely and left. I was helping Eunha.

His mom - Uh.... is this any skin disease?

I looked upstairs. Taehyung was in a black shirt and black jeans. His hair wasn't messy. He styled it. He was so handsome. There was no doubt. He smiled at me.

Tae - You are looking like a princess!

Mom - Tae is so kind..... he is a really good boy.
Tae - I didn't do anything to be kind here.... I just gave her a compliment.
Tan - Cut the cake now..... I'm hungry.

He cut the cake, we all sang a happy birthday song for him.

His mom - You kids can go upstairs. I'll call y'all when dinner is ready. Okay?

And we all went upstairs. Renée was glued with Tae. But Tae was trying to avoid her. Which looked kinda fun to me.

Eunha - Renée eonnie.... shall we take some pictures?
Renée - Sure!
Tan - I'll bring my camera wait!

When they were busy to take pictures, Tae held my hand and dragged me to the rooftop gently.

You - O my God.... what are you doing?
Tae - They are so noisy. I like it here.... by the way, I thought you'll bring me a gift.
You - Oh, you thought that?
Tae - Yeah, I turned 18 already.... can you get it?
You - *chuckled* Yeah, you're a big boy now but not an adult yet!
Tae - Whatever.
You - Happy Birthday, Tae. And I did prepare a gift for you.

I went downstairs and brought my guitar. I tried to make a new tune. I hadn't the time to write any lyrics, so the tune will do. I played it for him. It wasn't too fast, and neither was too slow. On that night of December, I finally came out from my shell. And it all happened because of Tae. He deserved it.

Tae - That.... you made it?!
You - Yeah... why?
Tae - It was mind-blowing! If I had a production company, I'd hire you rn!
You - You're funny. Let's go down now. They are waiting for you.
Tae - Alizée..... you look good in frocks. I mean, you look good in everything but specifically in frocks.
You - Again, thank you. Let's go, now.

We went back to his room.

Renée - Where were you two?
Tae - rooftop.
Renée - Why?

You - Cause I don't celebrate it.

Renée - That's a total lie, Alizée. You always stay inside your room!
You - Yeah..... I was always like this.

You smiled and left. Tae went behind you.

You - Tae, it was a nice evening. I don't wanna hear anything now. We will meet tomorrow at school.
Tae - Yeah, we definitely will. Thanks for being here.....
You - it's okay. Good night.
Tae - Good night.

You went back to your room. You stayed up late. You thought your dad always wished you first, but this year, you won't even get a wish.
