"You weren't lying?" Y/n asked, eyes double in size as she stared at the spacecraft or whatever it was called. Jin passed her an annoyed look.

"Hey! Did you think I was lying about being an astronaut?" Jin asked, rubbing the metal of his spacecraft hidden in the middle of the woods of the forest.

"So you really are an alien?"

Jin pressed his lips into a thin line and turned to pass Y/n a look of disapproval. "The Astronaut." She rolled her eyes and walked towards him with her hands inside her hoodie.

"So you really are from a different?"

Jin looked at her in disbelief. "What did you think about me till now, Y/n?" He asked and she pouted, narrowing her eyes, thinking something. "A schizophrenic man who lost memories and hallucinated about space and other planet. I still doubted my thoughts when your eyes sometimes glow and you're like a walking Google, but then it's too fictional to be true, so I thought that I also started hallucinating after meeting you."

Jin's jaw dropped at her explanation and he was rendered speechless. "You- you thought! What?" He was out of words. But in these months, he learned something.

Don't argue with Y/n.

She's too stubborn and won't believe things in one go. But then again, she won't even say that she's not believing you so that you can explain it to her. She'll just keep her thoughts and feelings to herself.

Jin shook his head and pressed the button on the spacecraft. As if the machine scanned its master's fingerprint, it suddenly opened a doorway inside.

Y/n was stunned and Jin was proudly smirking to himself, watching her surprised state. "My butterfly," he mumbled and she turned to glance at him, bowing down like a prince and gesturing his hands, asking her to get inside first.

"Do you come here often?" She asked and he tilted his head up, looking at her but then shaking his head. "This is my first time after I met you." He said and she cursed under her breath, pointing at the spacecraft.

"You haven't been here for so many months. You go first! What if a tiger or bear got inside and made this its home?" She snarled, stomping her shoes over the soil and he pouted.

"I really don't understand your mood swings but don't worry, the door doesn't open without my fingerprints," Jin said with a smile and bowed down again. She sighed, biting her lips but slowly walking towards the door.

She stood right beside Jin's bent head but he was looking at the ground. She smirked and wrapped her arm around his neck, giving him a headlock while he groaned, grabbing her hands to free himself.

"I've been meaning to do this ever since I met you, tall alien. But finally, I got the chance!" She said and pulled him inside with her.

"Hey, butterfly. Wait!" He said, freeing himself from her and standing up straight only to find her looking around the insides of the spacecraft with shiny eyes filled with curiosity. He smirked and walked forward to stand behind her and cleared his throat, keeping his hand on her head. She turned around, his hand still gripping her head as she stared at him curiously.

"Jin, tell me your story," Y/n mumbled, holding his wrist and putting it away from her head. He frowned. "What story?" She blinked several times and looked around the interior of the spacecraft.

"This story and whatever you have been through. This thing," she said, indicating the spacecraft. Jin sighed. "Will you trust me if I tell you?" She pressed her lips in a thin line and nodded.

"I don't believe things unless I see them. Now that I have seen this, I trust you."

He scoffed, stepping back and crossing his arms in front of his chest, looking at her in disappointment. "Bad Butterfly!" He commented and she giggled at him.

His features softened at her smile and he grinned before taking a deep breath, ready to share his life with her. Hoping that, maybe this time, she will believe him.

-

Y/n was standing in front of the seat of the aviator of this spacecraft. She blinked several times trying to process everything that Jin told her. How he was assigned to work on this spacecraft with a female space scientist to travel to the past or future, how they fall in love with each other while working, how they ended up failing its test run, causing him to go into a coma for years and when he wakes up, he finds out that his girlfriend already has replaced him with someone, how his whole human anatomy within the bloodstream was changed with robotic analogies and his brain to a microprocessor. How his girlfriend changed the way the spacecraft works and now it travels to a different planet in a parallel universe instead of a different time, shattering his years of hard work. He decided to escape the place.

He wanted to travel, move far away somewhere that wasn't Solaris.

And then he entered the Milky Way Galaxy.

Earth.

And then met her.

Y/n caressed the seat gently, thinking something to herself. "Do you still love her?" The only question that came to her mind right now. Why? She didn't know. She looked up to meet his eyes.

The blue hue within them was flickering. He remained silent. Just kept looking at her as if asking her to figure it out herself.

She smiled and looked down.

A bitter smile played on her lips.

"Can you show me something?" She asked and took a deep breath, raising her head and looking up at him. He pursed his lips and nodded, keeping his hands inside his pockets as he gazed at her, waiting for her to name the thing.

"The navigator of this spacecraft. I want to see it," she said and he furrowed his brows in confusion. "Why?"

"I just want to see. Curious," she said, shrugging her shoulders and walking to him. He nodded before walking past her to the buttons panel. The air suddenly felt suffocating to him. Something changed after he narrated the story to her.

"Here-"

"Jin?" Both of them turned to the red light beeping and the sound waves rising up and down as if it was receiving signals. Jin hurried to the section and pressed the red button. "Who is this?"

"Kim Seokjin?"

"Dr. Dustin?" He heard a soft chuckle from the other side. "I thought we lost you. You didn't share signals for 8 years. We were worried." His ears perked up and blue eyes glowed, brows knitting in confusion.

"8 years?" He questioned because as far as he can remember he was away for 6 months till now. "Ah, time runs slow in this universe. Explains why it is 8 years there," he mumbled to himself but turned around to look at Y/n who was silently observing him from afar. He smiled at her softly before whispering back to him,

"I found something so interesting in this world that I forgot that I had a life before coming here."
