two weeks later...
"Oh, I see you coming got my heart jumping like Jordan's play me like Spaulding do it all for me girl you're the vision of what I likeeee," Mieke hummed the lyrics to herself as she walked out of her bedroom. A puzzled expression crossed her face when the clinking of dishes in the kitchen caught her attention. She headed there and found Haveli in her robe, "Oh I forgot you slept over."
"I forgot I slept over too. I woke up wanting fat mother fucked and my man wasn't beside me." Haveli began to pat her head.
"You just be saying shit nobody asked to know." Mieke shook her head "This for me?" she asked, gesturing toward the plate on the counter.
"Yeah. I made papaya juice too."
"Since when did you learn to cook?" Mieke asked opening the refrigerator grabbing the juice.
"Bitch I always knew how to cook. I just never cooked for you."
"Oh okay suh eat me up then fuck I thought?"
Mieke made a face as she poured the papaya juice into a cup, causing Haveli to start laughing.
"I hate you bruh."
"And I promise I'll be yours tell me your joys and your problems I'll be more than the girl for ya, I'll be your friend." Mieke sang as she walked to the living room sitting down.
"You're in a good mood today." Haveli entered the living room carrying a plate of her own.
"You're saying that like I'm always in a bad mood." Mieke began cutting her pancakes.
"Girl please you know what I mean."
"I do. I'm in a very good mood today because I get to finally see my man. I haven't seen him in like 2 days 22 hours 14 minutes and 32 seconds but who's really counting? Just know that's breaking my heart." Mieke said, taking a bite of her pancake. "34 seconds now."
"Okay tickety toc." Haveli nodded smiling "Not you claiming him as your man now awwww."
Ever since Mieke found out that Keanu had murdered Landon, she'd been in a much better mood than usual. It was like a huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders and she couldn't stop smiling. She didn't know if she was being delusional or not, but the grass definitely seemed a lot greener since she learned the information. Now she couldn't help but feel like everything would be okay, at least for the time being.
Her feelings for Keanu were also growing more and more every single day. She felt a new sense of butterflies in her stomach and a newfound sense of security when she was with him. She felt like she could trust him with anything and everything, and she was even starting to picture what it might be like to be his girlfriend again.
"Yeah that's my man or whatever." Mieke couldn't help but smile while rolling her eyes, thinking about Keanu which caused Haveli to start squealing "Girl shut uppp."
"Look at you smiling thinking about him. That's so cute. Are yall together now?"
Mieke shook her head "No we're not."
