"Padhariye Munivar ! Padhariye !" Kamsa declared, his voice resonating through the grand halls of his opulent palace. With an air of authority, he guided the esteemed Devarshi Narad to his magnificent abode.

The son of Ugrasen, graciously offered him a regal seat, befitting his status. Every detail was meticulously attended to, ensuring that the revered guest felt truly honored and respected.

After welcoming him with proper accordances, Kamsa asked, "Batayiye, aaj yaha kaise ana huya ?"

Smilingly Narad looked at him and took out a lotus, "Yeh pushp dekha toh tumhara smaran ho aya, Kamsa. Toh socha tumhe deta jaayu, Narayan-Narayan." He said.

Kamsa took the lotus, and inspected it. He couldn't find anything special in that flower, it appeared to be nothing more than an ordinary lotus with its eight petals.

"Sadharan sa toh pushp hai. Isme kya visheshta hai ?" He asked.

Narad chuckled as he pointed at the petals, "Yaha se gino toh woh aathva hai..... Aur waha se gino toh yeh aathva. Kaun jaane ki pehla kaunsa hai aur aathva kaunsa hai ?"

Kamsa frowned, somewhat understanding what the devarshi was trying to imply, "Kya aap Devaki ke pratham santaan ki baat kar rahe hai ?"

With a laugh, the son of Ugrasen said, "Aakash-vaani ne aathve putra hetu mujhe chaitavni di hai. Pehle se mujhe koi bhaye nahi."

"Narayan-Narayan !" Narad Muni chuckled, causing Kamsa to stop laughing. He looked at him with a frown, as Devarshi said, "Kaal toh kisi bhi roop mei kabhi bhi aa sakta hai."

"Tatparya ?" Kamsa asked.

"Tatparya ki aathve ke vadh ka pratishodh toh pehle bhi le sakta hai." Devarshi said.

"Parantu... Parantu aakashvani toh aathve santaan ko le kar huyi thi !" Kamsa said.

Narad Muni smiled, "Uss Vishnu ki maya ko kaun jaan sakta hai. Wahi tera kaal hai. Sambhal sakta hai toh sambhal le. Narayan-Narayan !"

After saying that Devarshi Narad went away, leaving Kamsa alone to ponder over. He kept thinking how the other sons of Devaki can also pose a threat to him, once they grow up, how they can take revenge for him for killing their brother.

These haunting thoughts swirled within Kamsa's consciousness, fueling a raging inferno of fury deep within his being. As he rose to his feet, his eyes blazed with an intensity that mirrored the flames of his wrath.

He rushed out of his bhavan and stormed straight into the chambers of Devaki.

There she was with Vasudev, gently cradling her son with a gentle smile on her face. But the cruel Kamsa was untouched by the tenderness of the moment, he stomped upto them and snatched.

"Bhaiya !" Devaki's heart raced with panic as she desperately reached out for her sobbing child, only to be forcefully pushed away by Kamsa.

Overwhelmed by anguish, tears streamed down her cheeks as she clung onto Kamsa's feet, "Bhaiya daya karo ! Yeh meri pehli santaan hai bhaiya !"

Kamsa grunted as he kicked her away, "Karagrah mei daal do Devaki aur Vasudev ko !" He ordered the soldiers and he went outside.

Devaki cried and tried to follow Kamsa, but was held back by guards, "Bhaiya woh meri pehli santaan hai ! Use toh chhod do !" She pleaded for mercy but the wicked one left.

"Devaki," Vasudev pulled her in his embrace as she succumbed to overwhelming despair. Tears cascaded relentlessly from her eyes, a torrent of anguish that could not be contained.

Meanwhile, Kamsa stepped out his gaze filled with malevolence as he fixated on the weeping baby nestled in his grasp.

He heartlessly smashed the fragile newborn against a cold, unyielding stone. In an instant, the cries of the innocent ceased, as life was mercilessly snuffed out. Kamsa went inside laughing, showing not even an ounce of remorse.

"Kamsa !" Ugrasen angrily came to him and scolded, "Tumne Devaki aur Vasudev ko bandhi bana diya !? Arrey paapi tujhe lajja nahi aati !? Woh teri behen hai !"

The old king then looked at the guards and ordered, "Bandhi banao iss Kulkalank ko !"

But to Ugrasen's surprise, the guards remained unmoved. Kamsa's laughter bewildered the elderly king.

"Mere sainik mujhe bandhi nahi bana sakte." He said.

Ugrasen frowned, "Tumhare sainik ?"

"Ha. Yeh Magadh ke sainik hai. Mere aagya ke aadhin hai." Kamsa said, and then looked at them, "Bandhi bana lo inhe."

At that the guards swiftly seized Ugrasen, who struggled to break free from their iron grip, but failed due to the limitations imposed by his old age.

Kamsa approached him with a sinister grin, snatching the crown from his head and arrogantly placing it upon his own, "Rajya ka bhaar ab aap mujh par chhod de. Aur apna shesh jeevan shaanti se vyatit kariye, Karagrah mei."

Ugrasen grunted, "Yadi Pita ke liye thoda sa bhi samman shesh hai, toh mera vadh karde. Mujhe iss tarah apmaanit na kar, Kamsa."

Kamsa laughed, "Itne shigreh thodi vadh kar sakta hu aapka, Pitashree."

With a commanding gesture, Kamsa signaled the guards to seize Ugrasen, and as they whisked him away, the old king watched helplessly, his heart heavy with a sense of impending doom.
