THE END

The forest was alive with the sounds of chirping birds, rustling leaves, and the gentle gurgle of a nearby stream. The sun's rays filtered through the thick canopy, casting dappled shadows on the forest floor.

Madri rushed to Pandu with water as she saw him returning after completing his morning rituals. As he quenched his thirst, his eyes shifted sideways and fell upon Kunti who sat on the footsteps of their parnkutir, cradling her two young sons. Yudhishthir remained calm and serene, while Bheem squirmed and wriggled in his mother's arms, a mischievous glint in his eye.

Pandu's heart swelled with love and pride as he watched his family. But as he gazed at his wife and sons, a deep longing stirred within him. He desired another son.

Giving the glass back to Madri, he went towards Kunti and sat beside her, taking Yudhishthir in his arms to ease her work. As he cradled his first born, he gazed at Kunti and said, "Shubhey, ab meri iccha hai ki mujhse sarvashresht putra praapt ho."

Kunti who loved to please him in every manner, looked at him and asked, "Dharmatmao mei sarvashresht aur Balshaaliyo mei sarvashresht putra toh aapko praapt ho hi gaya hai. Ab kis gun mei shresht putra chahiye aapko ?"

"Sabhi guno mei. Mujhe purusho mei sarvashresht putra chahiye. Mujhe Narshresht chahiye. Aisa narottam chahiye jo teeno loko mei sarvashresht ho." Pandu said.

Kunti asked, "Toh kis devta ko bulayu mai ?"

"Devtao mei sarvashresht devta Indra hai. Unhi ke kripa se hume unke samaan parakrami, anant tejasvi aur yashashvi putra praapt ho sakta hai. Par keval mantra se bulane se karya siddh nahi hoga." Pandu said.

"Toh ?" Kunti asked.

With a determined smile, he said, "Uttam santaan praapt karne hetu, Mata Pita ko bhi tap karna padta hai. Hum bhi tapasya kar, Indra ko prasann karenge. Fir woh awashya hume unke samaan shaktishaali putra pradaan karenge. Iss liye mai man, karm aur vachan se bhishan tap karunga."

And then Pandu sought out the wise sages who resided in the forest. He and Kunti approached them with humility, seeking their guidance and counsel. They advised him on the ways to obtain a supreme son, emphasizing the importance of purity, devotion, and righteous conduct.

With newfound hope and determination, Pandu thanked the sages for their invaluable counsel and began contemplating the path he must take to fulfill his longing for a supreme son.

He looked at Kunti and said, "Shubhey, mai ek varsh tak apne ek paer par khada ho tapasya karunga. Aur tum bhi ek varsh tak Maharishiyo ke dwara sujhaaye vrat ka palan karna."

"Jaisa aap kahe." Kunti smiled.

And then Pandu himself stood on one leg for a year, performing severe austerities and immersed in supreme meditation. Kunti too began to observe the sacred vow the way her husband had instructed her to. Both their minds fixed to propetiate the king of gods, Indra.

All the gods and goddesses, including Harihareshwari and Shreeshaktiswar along with great sages reached Vaikunth once again. Sensing their presence, Narayan opened his lotus-like eyes and with a smile gazed at them all.

Indra came forward with joined hands and said, "Prabhu, Kali ne Dhritrashtra putra Duryodhan ke roop mei janm le liya hai. Kamsa ka bhi atank badhta jaa raha. Prithvi par dharm hi haani ho rahi hai, chaaro dishao mei keval glaani hi glaani hai. Ab toh avtaar le le."

"Ha prabhu ! Ab toh avatar lele !" The sages beseeched.

Mahadev said with a knowing smile, "Apka yeh Vaikunth roop, devtao ke liye hai. Ab aapko manushyo ka uddhar karne hetu apna Krishna roop dharan kar lena chahiye, jo manushyo hetu hai."

"Aapke kehne par mere yogmaya roop ne Shadgarbho ko mukt aur Sheshnaag ka janm Rohini ke garbh se karwa diya hai. Ab aapke hi janm ki pratiksha hai, Bhrata." Mata Parvati said.

Mata Saraswati said, "Jo gyaan kho chuka hai, use manushyo ko punah de dijiye."

"Ab prithvi ka kalyaan kardijiye, Hari." Brahma said.

"Avtaar le kar, sansaar mei punah shaanti sthaapit kare, dev." Srinav said.

Narayan said, "Uchit hai. Mai ab aur vilambh nahi karunga."

"Aagya ho toh ek iccha vyakt Karu ?" Amarsri asked with joined hands.

"Kaho." Narayan smiled knowingly.

With a grin she requested, "Kya aap hum sabhi ko apne Krishna roop ka darshan dene ki kripa kar sakte hai ?"

Narayan glanced at Mata Lakshmi, she nodded with a smile, and then he glanced back at Amarsri, "Awashya."

Suddenly, darkness surged from all the ten directions, engulfing the very essence of the world. The sky and the sun, once radiant and vibrant, were now swallowed by an unfathomable abyss.

The very next moment, with a swift motion of his hands, the lord dispelled the shroud of darkness. Hari revealed his divine form, which too was cloaked in darkness. His complexion was similar to the ominous clouds, and his hair mirrored their inky hue.

Shri Krishna's energetic figure stood as dark as a towering mountain.

Clad in radiant yellow garments that shimmered like the sun's rays, adorned with ornaments forged from molten gold, his form looked as dark as the smoke that billows forth when a yuga draws to its end.

Upon his regal head rested a resplendent crown, while his formidable figure boasted not four, but eight mighty arms. Each of these appendages clutched a gleaming weapon, as if forged by the gods themselves.

He held the Nandaka sword in one hand, and, in another hand, he held arrows that were like venomous serpents. Yet another hand held a fierce plough, marked with the signs of javelins. Three other hands held a conch shell, the chakra and a mace. Another hand held the Sharanga bow, made out of horn.

He was on a chariot yoked to tawny horses. The standard was adorned with Garuda. The sun and the moon were the wheels and Mount Mandara was the axle. Anantnaag with his serpentine grace, was the reins and Mount Meru was the seat. The yoke, a masterpiece of craftsmanship, was adorned with planets and nakshatras, bestowing an otherworldly aura upon the chariot.

The gods and goddesses saw him in the firmament, indicating freedom from fear. They saw Shri Krishna stationed on that divine chariot and all the worlds seemed to be inside it

Their lips quivered at the sight, tears streamed down their cheeks. They raised their hands and closed their eyes, "JAI JAI ! JAI JAI !"
